Alice Baltroy Ronx

Alice Baltroy Ronx 383b65481d324106749e64ff3c00fbf6

Basic Character Information

Starting Bonus: One in a Million | [Starting Bonus Roll]

First Name: Alice
Middle Name/Initial: Baltroy
Last Name: Ronx
Epithet: Flying Dart Ronx
Age: 22
Gender: male
Race: Human
Faction: Revolutionary
Affiliation: Revolutionary Army
Position: Commander
Profession: A merchant who's most daily used phrase is: "Oh dear, it appears I'm broke again."

Physical Appearance

Height: 170cm
Weight: "Ehh you can't ask a man a question like that~ Oh you mean only women have that right? Hmph, well I'm still not telling!"

Hair Style: Messy/spiky
Hair Color: Gold
Eye Color: Amber
Scars: "Don't look, you pervert~!" He has a prominent scar that starts on the back of his right shoulder, runs down his back and curves slight around his left torso. He's not embarrassed about it, but he sure likes to joke about it.
Clothing and Accessories: Asides from his trademark black mantle, which is made out of the most soothing material to touch, Ronx likes to dress smartly. He often wears a white dress shirt accompanied with a pinstripe vest and a tie. Despite how it looks, the suit is made for comfortability and mobility, so it never hinders him when he needs to escape, which totally isn't often at all ("Is that sarcasm, because it better not be!" -Ronx). Fun fact: Ronx always keep at least one handkerchief in his breast pocket. No, not for the ladies; for when he wants to show off his amateur magic skills which involves randomly pulling out an endless line of handkerchiefs from his sleeve. Which, again, isn't that often ("I'm really getting tired of that tone!").

Description: Ronx used to be a fairly short kid, but lucky enough for him, he had his growth spurt. Though not enough to be considered tall, Ronx is given an extra boost by the height of his spiky hair (which, FYI, is already added in that 170cm). Ronx has smooth, porcelain skin and eyes that promise comfort and understanding. He doesn't appear to be very strong and if it weren't for the suit and mantle, Ronx might have passed for an ordinary man with an above average face, but there's always something about him that separates him from the "ordinary". His disposition emanates fickleness and elitism simultaneously, two things that don't normally work hand-in-hand, but Ronx makes it work somehow. One might even consider it an unfound talent of his, while others who are less inclined to speak positively of him might say he's only good for deceiving with his appearance. Many might consider him handsome or even "princely" with his openly friendly countenance, radiant smiles and sympathetic eyes. And although it is true that Ronx has his charming moments (like a puppy often does), it's important to note that Ronx's charms rarely go further than what appearances allow.

The Past

Main Traits:

  • Warm, soothing eyes
  • A constant smile that alludes to his mysterious, charming and *cough*stupid*cough* carefree nature
  • The fancy-looking man who's always a victim to pickpocketing. Not that there's anything in that pouch but candy.
  • Also the fancy-looking man who's having a breakdown at being a victim to pickpocketing.
  • He's fancy looking
  • Looks smarter than he is

Likes:

  • Candy and magic
  • Interesting knickknacks that have no meaning
  • Interesting people
  • Wandering around markets
  • Getting lost
  • "Oh, pretty butterfly~"

Dislikes:

  • "What's there not to like?"

Hometown: Water 7 "The markets there are the best!"
Personality: Alice B. Ronx is...interesting to say the least. He's carefree, loves a good giggle and is adventure-driven. However, he's also careless, has no idea he's not funny and gets himself mixed up in the wrong crowds more often than not. Ronx is always happy and appears to be without a care in the world, or as it seems. His favourite way to pass time is to visit small, local villages and browse antique, second-hand shops. Despite his profession as a self-declared merchant who looks more like the lord of a wealthy estate, he's useless with money. More often than not, he never thinks twice about buying a simple trinket that catches his eye and ultimately finds difficulty selling it later. It usually isn't until much, much later when he's all but forgotten why he bought it in the first place, that he manages to sell it. He's a hoarder, and so he'd much rather die than throw something away without an exchange for berries. This means he's always carting around a hand-pulled carriage which has become a place for growing rubbish he's bought from some dodgy shop-owner from Town X. Not to mention, Ronx is incredibly gullible so as if he doesn't need more opportunities to collect more junk, dodgy shop-owners will often persuade him with minimal effort to buy something he doesn't need. So how does he continue to look the way he does, with his pristine suit, baby-smooth skin and happy-go-lucky demeanour?

Well get this: he's incredibly, stupidly, awfully and annoyingly lucky. For some mysterious reason, he always manages to sell off some of his trinkets at least once a day and for more than what he originally paid for too. Always. He actually makes a profit off that junk. But here's where it gets weird, because he's also incredibly, stupidly, awfully, annoyingly unlucky. At least once a day, he'll get scammed into buying more junk and/or fall victim to pickpocketing (but luckily enough for him, no one ever steals his "treasure"). It's to the point where he has enough money to scrap by to live a healthy life with food, clothes and a carefree attitude, but not enough to succeed any further. In other words, he's a miracle, especially when you realise he still shouldn't have enough money to be wearing good clothes. Where do they come from? Where indeed~ (*whistles because I have no clue*)

Ronx's carefree attitude often makes it difficult to completely discern his thoughts or even if he has any thoughts to begin with. His default setting always seems stuck on: foolish, troublemaking and hyperactive. For those who are meeting him for the first time, he is capable of creating a great initial impression. At times, his actions can seem mastermind-worthy and even reap massive rewards, but when one considers his disposition, it is impossible to say whether the results were as he intended or by pure chance. This is especially the case when entering battle, as Ronx's fickleness means that every battle he enters can finish in any unimaginable way. Fighting and fleeing only as he sees fit, Ronx can be relatively challenging to engage with in battle and he never appears to take a conflict seriously. Furthermore, Ronx lacks an overall awareness of danger and will find himself inadvertently stumbling into heated arguments or thick schemes behind thick walls (he'd make a great spy if he weren't the way he was). It isn't until people are literally firing guns and chasing him with torches and pitchforks that he actually considers the idea he may have nosed around too much. This is further accentuated by his lack of awareness for body language and tone. He has an impossible time understanding undertones and comprehends things very literally (you can imagine the fun he has in this age of sarcasm). Finally, although it is certainly true that Ronx often fails to consider much of anything outside his own interests, he does possess an underlying sense of responsibility and loyalty. Few believe him capable of assuming the role of a leader and this is undeniably something that more people need come to terms with, because commanders and leaders don't scamper around causing more trouble than good. But in all seriousness, there is ultimately always a good reason for why Ronx is capable of gathering devoted followers despite his faults and failures. At the end of the day, Ronx can be relied on at times of peril and will always be the first to step up when someone dear to him is in a predicament.

History:

For the most part, Alice B. Ronx lived in a wealthy household and his parents worked hard to shelter their children from any hazards that befell the world. His father, Seistrune Ronx, was an established and successful businessman and his influence reached far and wide, while his mother, Mikan Metgiulo (maiden name), was a popular composer and pianist. In a world that scrutinised such a successful family's every movement, the Ronx family was surrounded by as many enemies as friends. Despite this, Seistrune and Mikan raised Alice and his younger sister, Rose, with the same compassion and care expected from any parent. Their children received high order education in various areas including (but by no means limited to) literature, art, economy, politics and history. However, as virtuous as Seistrune and Mikan made themselves to be, they had one underlying fault that would soon lead to the family's destruction: they sympathised with New Revolutionary Army ideologies. Both Seistrune and Mikan were not strong advocates nor were they passionate activists and they had no consolidated ties with the NRA. Despite this, their influence was still powerful and widespread and the World Government's corrupt gradually grew disquiet. Should the Ronxs choose to leverage their popularity and vast followers, they would serve to rapidly spread NRA ideologies. But such was not in the Ronxs personal beliefs. Even in the education of their children, they kept from dominating their own reasonings and understandings of the NRA, instead opting to be as unbiased in their teachings as they could be in hopes that their children would cultivate their own personal ideas and beliefs. The Ronx family also travelled often and the children broadened their perspectives of the world faster than any other child could. It was when Alice turned eleven did his life take a sudden turn for the worst.

Fear of Seistrune and Mikan had grown exponentially since Alice's birth and fear bred irrationality. Their popularity had made them untouchable in the past, but many were beginning to find such a threat less and less intimidating as time passed. On Alice's eleventh birthday, they spent week in the small, but homely town of Reines and it was here the plan to eliminate the Ronx family hatched. With their doors open to friends who wished to celebrate Alice's birthday, Seistrune could never have imagined his most trusted business partner and friend would have closer ties with the World Government. Edion Korze the "Kind" was a highly skilled spy for the World Government and specialised in gaining the trust and faith of his targets. When his clients, corrupt officials in the World Government, determined that it was time to rid themselves of their fear for the Ronx family, even at the expense of outrage and fury across the world, Korze the Kind was ordered to eliminate with discretion. No ties to the family's assassination should link back to the government. Before his very eyes, Alice witnessed his parent's massacre at the hands of a close and beloved friend. To him, Korze had been more than just a friend; he had been family too, an uncle. "If you want someone to blame, blame your parents for going against the World Government with their misguided, revolutionary ideologies." With these words, Korze heartlessly tore out Rose's heart and discarded her body at Alice's feet. Unable to move, Alice could only wait for his own death, but Korze's next actions would leave him baffled for the rest of his life. He knelt down before him and pulled him into an embrace. "Or blame me."

With that, Korze left Alice with his body drenched in the blood of his own family. His heart torn between grief and betrayal, Alice's mind fell to chaos and he could do nothing to express his agony except through the tears and screams haunting his nightmares to this day. When news of the beloved Ronx family's gruesome massacre spread across the world, despair and anguish erupted from the family's extensive followers. The felony was blamed solely on the Ronx family themselves. As the stories told it, Seistrune and Mikan had been involved with the underworld, trading illegal weapons with the NRA and pirates in exchange for immense wealth. When a trade went wrong, the Ronx family was massacred by a group of pirates and left no survivors. The stories made front page headlines for months and sparked outrage, some in disbelief and shaming papers for their spread of false information but most were directed at the Ronx family. Alice himself had abruptly disappeared from the eyes of society. There was no where to go and no one to turn to—if the family's most trusted friend had betrayed them so horribly, then it was reasonably to believe that no one could be trusted. Setting his mind on revenge, Alice deliberately thought of himself as only "Ronx" and went as far as to discard everything else. He wanted the whole government and all those associated with it to know what it was like to truly fear the Ronx, not because of widespread influence but because of Ronx as an individual. However, this meant that Ronx soon lost identity of himself. Following only the will of "Ronx", "Alice" gradually became forgotten, but it was "Alice" who had grown under the nurturing love of his family. Ronx lost sight of himself, seeing only vengeance and it was this vengeance that led him to the nearest marine base. It meant nothing to him that the marines had been uninvolved in the murders of his family and interestingly enough, Ronx never once thought to seek out Korze himself during this time. It was almost as though he blamed even Korze's betrayal on the government. Confused and grief-stricken, Ronx unleashed all his fury on the marines. "Alice" had never enjoyed the combat training his parents had provided, but it was "Ronx" who had ultimately retained it all and amplified by anguish and loss, Ronx brought the base to near devastation. However, mindless destruction from a child could only take him so far and upon his capture, the words, "Blame me" echoed in his mind. The pain in his chest took over every fibre of his body, but before he could lash out again, the unexpected arrival of Villium Price from the NRA overpowered the marines and he escaped with Ronx in tow.

Having escaped with no serious injuries and he was given the opportunity to calm himself. The pain of losing his family in such a gruesome manner never left him, but he found his feelings divided when he thought of Korze. On the one hand, he knew he was to blame but on the other, Korze was his only remaining "family" and there was still the question of why he had left one member of the family alive. Price offered him a place in the NRA; to fight for the revolution and a new "family". Perhaps he could never bring himself to completely hate Korze, but at the very least, he could find himself a new home with new friends and family. It was this offer that compelled Ronx to join the NRA, but he saw it more as an opportunity to strip the government of its influence. Ultimately, he could only find fault with the government. With Price's guidance, Ronx's reputation rapidly rose within the army and he further improved his combative ability. As time passed, Ronx found ways to cover his pain but he could never let go enough to better connect himself with others. The "family" that Price had offered never came to form and Ronx seemed happier spending his time alone, only donning a deceiving smile in the company of others.

When Ronx found himself in a market for the first time in the five years he'd been initiated into the NRA, a part of him stirred. Perhaps it was the positive energy of the bustling streets, but all of it evoked a part of his childhood memories he had kept buried for so long. He remembered visiting markets and since his first visit to the market, Ronx began seeking more and more markets. But his aimlessness made it seem as though he were searching for something in particular, more memories from before his eleventh birthday. The markets were like a completely different world, a place where even lost memories and feelings could be bought. The noise and crowds blocked out the outside world and Ronx could even pretend his family was still whole. He could pretend his sister was only lost in the crowd and that his parents were searching frantically for them both. He could even pretend that Korze had been the mastermind in helping the two children escape their parents so that they could wander the market freely. Through all this, Ronx began to steadily accumulate his "treasures", all of which was really junk the clever market sellers had dumped on him for a hefty price. When a young girl had approached him, asking to buy a pocket mirror in the shape of a frog (which she had found on the edge of the cart he had been forced to take with him given the amount of junk he had now collected), Ronx had briefly saw Rose in her. Ronx gently took the mirror and exchanged it for the berries she had offered with such a hopeful smile. It was after this exchange that more and more people came to browse his cart, mistaking his one purchase for a professional one. Through this interaction, Ronx felt his heart lighten and he spontaneously decided to declare himself a merchant. Now, as one would expect, a single purchase hardly constitutes an individual a "merchant", but this was the first positive and hopeful thought Ronx had in years. His first purchase being a frog mirror to a child who resembled his sister had left such an impact on him, that he felt his heart recover all the more. It was as though he had finally found the family he had "lost in the markets".

This new change did little to change his involvements in the NRA, but he often went to markets as a form of escape. He still worked to overthrow government and marine control, but his ultimate goal had changed from vengeance. In the end, he believed that government and marine failures had been the main cause for his family's loss and though Ronx would not change his main objective to dethrone the authorities, he turned his attention away from consuming anger and pain. As a result, Ronx found himself two new goals that could only have been realised once he had discarded revenge. Still unable to understand Korze's motive and why he had failed to complete his objective in eliminating the entire Ronx family, Ronx sought to find him. As hard as he had tried, Ronx could never stop thinking of Korze as his family and as such, he needed to obtain answers and the truth. His second objective was to rebuild the Ronx name, to reconstruct it's noble cause. He hoped for a day when the true story behind what happened to the Ronx family, a family that had once been adored by many and mourned by few, could be revealed.

Gotta say, reading your bio was a real treat for the eyes. Very entertaining!

One thing that you missed, however, is the Description in the Physical Appearance section.

Ronx takes his attitude in life to battle too. He fights only when he feels like it and flees when he feels like it. He hasn't been serious for a long, long time. The last time he was serious...well, that's a story for the next section.

History:

As one might have already guessed, Alice B. Ronx started life sheltered, wealthy and loved. He'd never faced the hazards of the world and was protected from even knowing about them. Living in the vibrant town of Water 7, Ronx grew up wandering streets filled with festivity, culture and cheer. The people of the town valued him as much as his family and he valued them too.

But then one night shattered everything Ronx knew and understood. He and his family, including his parents and his younger sister, had been spending a week in the small, but homely town called Reines (made up). An army of bandit descended on the town, ravaging and setting the town on flames. Before Ronx's very eyes, his family was massacred and his sister dismembered for pleasure. With Ronx the last, the bandit jeered him into running as they hunted for him. And so, Ronx ran. He raced through the town before colliding into a marine officer. However, all hopes that he was saved were dashed as he listened to the dialogue between the marine and the bandits chasing him. The marine ordered the bandits to end Ronx's life then and there before departing and promising the bandits that their reward would be delivered. At that moment, as Ronx's entire body was lashed by whips, he understood the unfairness and corruption that settled within the heart of the marines. He made a silent vow to bring about the redemption of the marines and perhaps it was this burning emotion that filled his entire mind that numbed the pains of his body and prevented him from dying. When the bandits left him, even they believed that no one could have survived the pains they inflicted, especially a child.

Succeeding this event, Ronx worked mindlessly to develop, improve and master his technique and immediately stormed a marine navy base. Though Flying Dart had yet to be perfected and was still new, the rage-driven Ronx managed to destroy almost the entire base before the backup arrived. Seeing the devastated marine base with a boy at the centre of it, struck fear, but only motivated the oncoming marine fleets to subdue him. If not for a revolutionary who had been passing by at the time, Ronx would have undoubtedly forfeited his life. The revolutionary escaped with Ronx in tow and following his rampage, Ronx was unusually calm, as though he was finally allowing himself to mourn the loss of his family. He was invited into the Revolutionary Army and quickly rose the ranks as a "Super Rookie". However, despite his successes, Ronx could never escape the gaping void in his heart. It wasn't until he came across a market in a small town, did he finally come to his senses.

Even after the incident, Ronx realised he still retained his love for wandering the markets. It reminded him of his home in Water 7 and he found that browsing wares and antiques brought peace to his heart. However, without the good-nature and care of the Water 7 towns people, he became easily squandered and scammed. However, he was seemingly oblivious to the ill-intentions of the people and gradually, his heart began to heal and it was before long that he became the dimwitted and happy-go-lucky boy again. Eventually, he collected too many items to keep and it was on one fateful day, when a frog stuffed toy from Ronx's cart caught the eye of a curious boy, that sparked Ronx's eventual calling to become a merchant. Though his success as a merchant is contested and subjective, he now leads a happy life with an unwavering smile, even after the complete shift from being a protected rich boy to lost and mourning child to poor, homeless merchant.

However, the night of the disaster was never forgotten. During the day, Ronx was a happy, wandering and awkward merchant, but by nightfall, he was "Flying Dart Ronx" of the revolutionary. Towns that had been under government reign were liberated before dawn broke, captured revolutionaries were bailed before they reached the gates of Impel Down and even assassinations...these are but a few things that could happen within the space of a single night where Flying Dart Ronx is concerned. During these times, Ronx's smile is no where to be seen and even his eyes are as cold as lead. However, as much as it seems like this new side of Ronx is almost bipolar, Ronx is completely aware of his actions . The impassive and detached expression on his face during his revolutionary missions can easily be interpreted for sadness and sorrow for what he has come to do. Though he wishes for things to be different, it takes only one painful memory of that one night to reignite the flame of vengeance in his heart.

If the last bit seems to be written funny, it's because as I'm writing it and reading over it again, I'm super tired and I need sleep.

Good night~

Alice Baltroy Ronx

Basic Character Information

Starting Bonus: One in a Million | [Starting Bonus Roll]

First Name: Alice
Middle Name/Initial: Baltroy
Last Name: Ronx
Epithet: Flying Dart Ronx
Age: 22
Gender: male
Race: Human
Faction: Revolutionary
Affiliation: Revolutionary Army
Position: Commander
Profession: A merchant who's most daily used phrase is: "Oh dear, it appears I'm broke again."

Physical Appearance

Height: 170cm
Weight: "Ehh you can't ask a man a question like that~ Oh you mean only women have that right? Hmph, well I'm still not telling!"

Hair Style: Messy/spiky
Hair Color: Gold
Eye Color: Amber
Scars: "Don't look, you pervert~!" He has a prominent scar that starts on the back of his right shoulder, runs down his back and curves slight around his left torso. He's not embarrassed about it, but he sure likes to joke about it.
Clothing and Accessories: Asides from his trademark black mantle, which is made out of the most soothing material to touch, Ronx likes to dress smartly. He often wears a white dress shirt, accompanied with a pinstripe vest and a tie. Despite how it looks, the suit is made for comfortability and mobility, so it never hinders him when he needs to escape. Which totally isn't often at all ("Is that sarcasm, because it better not be!" -Ronx). Fun fact: Ronx always keep at least one handkerchief in his breast pocket. No, not for the ladies, for when he wants to show off his amateur magic skills where he randomly starts pulling out a line of handkerchiefs from his sleeve. Which, again, isn't that often ("I'm really getting tired of that tone!").

Description: Ronx used to be a fairly short kid, but lucky enough for him, he had his growth spurt. Though still not particularly tall, Ronx is given an extra boost by the height of his spiky hair (which, FYI, is already added into that 170cm). Ronx has beautiful, porcelain skin and eyes have promise comfort and understanding. Ronx doesn't appear to be a very strong man and in fact, looks incredibly fragile. If it weren't for the suit and mantle, Ronx might have passed for an ordinary man, but there's also something about him that emanates fickleness and airheadedness that separates him from being ordinary. With scruffy hair, wide eyes and an undying smile, Ronx appears very much childish and he even looks younger than he is. Basically, no one would ever suspect him to be the "Flying Dart" of the Revolutionary Army.

The Past

Main Traits:

  • Warm, soothing eyes
  • A constant smile that alludes to his mysterious, charming and *cough*stupid*cough* carefree nature
  • The fancy-looking man who's always a victim to pickpocketing. Not that there's anything in that pouch but candy.
  • Also the fancy-looking man who's having a breakdown at being a victim to pickpocketing.
  • He's fancy looking
  • Looks smarter than he is

Likes:

  • Candy and magic
  • Interesting knickknacks that have no meaning
  • Interesting people
  • Wandering around markets
  • Getting lost
  • "Oh, pretty butterfly~"

Dislikes:

  • "What's there not to like?"

Hometown: Water 7 "The markets there are the best!"
Personality: Alice B. Ronx is...interesting to say the least. He's carefree, loves a good giggle and is adventure-driven. However, he's also careless, has no idea he's not funny and gets himself mixed up in the wrong crowds more often than not. Ronx is always happyy, without a care in the world, or as it seems. His favourite way to pass time is visit small, local villages and browse antique, second-hand shops. Despite his profession as a self-declared merchant that looks more like the lord of a wealthy estate, he's useless with money. More often than not, he never thinks twice about buying a simple trinket that catches his eye and then ultimately finds difficulty selling it later. It usually isn't until much, much later when he's all but forgotten why he bought it in the first place, that he manages to sell it. He's a hoarder, so he'd rather die than throw something away without berries and so he's always carting around a hand-pulled carriage that's become a place for growing rubbish that he's bought from some dodgy shop-owner. Not to mention, Ronx is incredibly gullible so as if he doesn't need more opportunities to collect more junk, dodgy shop-owners will also often persuade him with minimal effort to buy something he doesn't need. So how does he continue to look the way he does, with his pristine suit, baby-smooth skin and happy-go-lucky demeanor?

Well get this: he's incredibly, stupidly, awfully, annoying lucky. For some mysterious reason, he always manages to sell off some of his trinkets at least once a day and for more than what he paid for too. Always. He actually makes a profit off that junk. But here's where it gets weird, because he's also incredibly, stupidly, awfully, annoyingly unlucky. At least once a day, he'll get scammed into buying more junk and/or fall victim to pickpocketing.

If not for Villium Price of the Revolutionary Army, who had been passing by at the time, Ronx would have undoubtedly forfeited his life. Price escaped with Ronx in tow and following his rampage, Ronx was unusually calm, as though he was finally allowing himself to mourn the loss of his family. Price invited him into the Revolutionary Army and he quickly rose the ranks as a "Super Rookie".
