[Episode] A Hero Emerges Pt. 1

The only thing the crew knew prior to arriving here at Mirrorball Island was that their client was a representative for Doskoi Panda. This representative, Hanma Oshi, had worked with Subarashi in the past, back when Subarashi was merely a pop star.

Having already represented the clothing brand prior to starting his career as a bounty hunter, Subarashi planned to ingratiate himself further with the company by having one of his first bounties be at their request.

He had heard, through the grapevine, that certain individuals had it out for the company and wished to ruin its public image.

In this case, it had been a former brand ambassador named Babydoll Valour.

A woman that subsidized her career in fashion with arms trafficking. Given that several reporters were hot on her trail, trying to sniff out a scoop, the company issued a bounty on her head personally.

Despite this not being a government-sanctioned bounty, Hifune was aware that they’d get referrals so long as they did an excellent job.

That meant having minimal liability for the company. So, the Berry Bordello members needed to make sure that their hunt had minimal exposure, no damage to the island and no trails left behind that would indicate that they were solving a problem for the prolific company.

This point was reiterated by the representative himself, who was seated in a fine leather chair in his office. His arms rested on his mahogany table, writing pen nestled firmly between his meaty pale fingers on his left hand.

His right hand tapped on the table softly as his blue eyes settled on Hifune Mitsuragi. She was one of two people from the Bordello that were here in his office.

The other is the crew’s resident sniper, Kiyomi Shisugawa.

Both ladies had arrived on the island before their main forces, so they could sort out the details before their leader showed up. The last thing that they needed was Subarashi running around the island unsupervised while they were trying to get their objectives sorted.

Given that Subarashi’s will was far more potent than any other man they had encountered, it wasn’t hard to see why they had to move in ways that didn’t involve him directly.

Though this was not due to a lack of trust in his decisions, rather it was for his own benefit. So that he wasn’t overwhelmed by the myriad of possibilities that could be presented before him. They knew of this firsthand from his former manager, who often had to do the same thing due to the fact that Subarashi was the kind of man that would avoid entire concerts if he saw a skirt worth chasing.

The man had no concept of priorities but could follow a course of action easily if he knew how to explain the goal clearly enough.

Fortunately, Hifune spoke Subarashi’s language fluently.

By the time the ladies had entered the office of their client, Hifune took the seat directly across from them. Kiyomi opted to stand, her back against the wall so that she could see both the exit door and the window overlooking Mirrorball Island from her peripheries.

She remained ever vigilant.

Hifune cleared her throat with subtlety whilst flipping her hair softly with her right hand. The leather-clad lass stared at the representative briefly before speaking. As to size him up for the upcoming conversation. Her swift movement was enough to leave her hair framing both sides of her face. Highlighting her naturally beautiful features. A handy tool when working with most members of the opposite sex. Or at least those with a regular libido.

“Time is of the essence and talk is cheap, so I’ll get right to the point. Babydoll has been using company funds to purchase illicit arms and munitions. We know this because a certain private investigator has been extorting us.”

“Go on.”

“The party in question wants us to give them an absurd amount of money, or else they will produce photos of a meeting between Babydoll and her criminal contacts by the morning. We know that no suspicious ships have been seen near here for a solid month now… So given the recency of these demands, we figure the investigator simply knows the location of the deal.”

He looked up from his paperwork, eyeing the woman with a stern expression on his aged face.

“We do not want that information going public.”

The man’s expression was vacant. The crows feet on the corners of his eyes were evidence of how stressful his job happened to be. His graying hair revealed the reality of long nights spent slaving over maintaining good public relations with many differing sides of a social media coin.

As social media as the News Coo could be at least.

“We are fully aware of your expectations and shall meet them without error. So long as you’re serious about recommending us to other clients then we have no qualms with handling this with discretion.”

“Yeah so long as we keep Yukina in check.”

Kiyomi couldn’t resist the opportunity to take a shot at the hot-headed swordswoman. Even when she was nowhere to be seen.

“Ah, no worries, Kiyomi. I have a plan for that.”

“Who is this Yukina?” the man spoke in a half-hearted, unimpressed tone of voice..

“Just one of our enforcers, we don’t tend to utilize her… talents in sophisticated situations such as this.”

Kiyomi scoffed under her breath, amused by the blatant lie.

“Glad to hear it, I don’t want any property damage to the island, local government gives us enough problems as it is.”

If he was truly as “glad” as he claimed his face never showed it.

“We completely understand and I can assure you nothing untoward will happen. We take our contracts seriously.”

Hifune was not concerned by the revelation, she was used to having to reign in the chaos-riddled Bordello members. Nothing worse in her mind than an endless sea of love-addled, lovestruck degenerates willing and able to go to bat for their “bias”. Capturing this traitor was going to be a sinch.

“Just capture her and return her to us, we will notify the association of your cooperation and they will sort out the details from there. Subarashi is… a strange individual, but I have never had issues working with him before. Even if it was in a different capacity.”

His tone indicated that he was fully under the belief that this was just a phase for the pop-star. He couldn’t take this man and his gaggle of gals seriously. He had a plan B just in case. It was written on his face. But he didn’t seem to account for the fact that loyalty was something far more powerful than any one person could ever comprehend. This was Subarashi’s chance to be taken seriously. None of his girls would let him down.

Not even the crazy ones.

“We will keep you informed on our progress once we track her down.”

“Once I track her down.”

“Yes, Kiyomi is an expert tracker. She used to be a member of the Bleue Fontaine town guard out of the Briss Kingdom.”

“Oh? That is impressive.”

It was the first time his expression changed and fortunately it seemed positive.

“I look forward to seeing your results. Now if there is nothing else.”

“You have a lovely rest of your day, Mr. Oshi.”

With that business settled, the women rose to their feet, brushing off their laps and bowing toward the representative.

Making her way towards the door, Hifune spoke in a low whisper to Kiyomi, making sure that the representative could not hear her as she passed through the threshold.

“Let us find this woman quickly before the ladies rampage through the streets.”

The pair made their way into the hallway, walking side by side. The office of their contact being nothing more than a distant memory now.

“Sounds good, I already had some of the girls asking around the ports and shops for any information on Babydoll.”

“Has anyone gotten back to you?”

“Not yet, but give it time. You know how these things go. No matter how professional we act, most of our crew is made up of adoring fan girls with no noticeable skill or talent for this line of work. If not for Daddykins, who knows what the majority of these women would do...”

Hifune’s right hand rose up to her own chin as she pondered, cusping it softly.

“This is true. If we want to be taken seriously however, we need to step our game up. This will be our first test to see if we can handle the big leagues”

“We can handle this no problem, we just have to be careful.”

With that said, the ladies continued on their way, their steps fading away as they made their way through the halls of the Doskoi Panda office building.

//

Back near the Eros Basilius, the rest of the commanding officers were busy commanding their individual units. Making sure that each woman was brought up to speed about what their mission on the island happened to be.

The majority of the women here would not be used in their normal capacity. Rather, they would blend into the crowd, locating themselves around the island whilst visiting various storefronts and cafes. All for the sake of being the eyes and ears of the commanding officers of the crew. Aiding in locating their target quickly and without bringing too much attention to themselves.

This way, the entire island itself could be surveyed and on the off-chance that their target attempted to flee, they could keep tabs on the enemy operator.

Subarashi’s hands rested on his supple hips and he leaned forward surveying the work of his Bordello members as they stood around the docks, waiting for the arrival of Hifune and Kiyomi.

Subarashi himself stood atop a pair of stacked crates so that he could see out over the crowd of women, but found himself growing restless waiting for said women to make their return from their meeting.

For once, it seemed as though no one had their attention on him, which the man found to be both a blessing and a curse in equal measure.

This was due to the fact that he was a raving attention whore for starters. But his machinations required that he took the opportunity to get away from the women that he worked with so closely. If the rumors were to be believed, this place had one hell of an impact on the fashion world, and the desire to have some fresh new threads was too strong of a pull to be ignored.

That was the primary reason that Subarashi allowed himself to slip out of sight of his feminine protectors.

Taking his time slithering through the crowd of women, being ever-careful to not touch them. He had no idea where he was going of course. But that wasn’t his problem. Especially not once he had set his mind on something. His stubbornness was not only legendary, but it was also beyond the point of being unreasonable.

It was a good thing that he had not dressed in his armor, or else he might rattle and shake during his escape from the crowd. Fortunately, he wore tight black dress pants, a black tank top, and cute brown ugg boots.

Even his hair was in a ponytail. Which was not the style that he usually chose to wear. If only he had a pair of shades to complete the look, but alas. But that did give him a goal. A big fur coat and some shades were what he wanted now.

And so he set off to find something that stood out. Something that was just as eccentric and extravagant as he was.

Though, given that this was Mirrorball Island, it was an objective that he’d not need to try all that hard to accomplish.

By the time he had sauntered his way out of the area, it’d finally dawn on Yukina that he was missing. Though it was not due to any visual cues that she came to this conclusion. The man was usually trying to get into someone’s pants. Given that she hadn’t heard any form of harassment in some time, she narrowed her eyes, completely unamused.

[Abandoned] A Fool's Errand

Meanwhile…

Yukina had already set her sights on a rustic-looking building that gave off the impression that it was a saloon. She was already feeling particularly dehydrated and figured that their investigation would be better served if they could have some liquid courage. With that in mind, she didn't hesitate to steer herself toward the building.

The small feminine figure on her back would pipe up in confusion at the detour. This is despite the fact that Subarashi clearly had no idea what they were looking for or why.

He was distracted by the notion of performing a new song, one that would get his crew a wild payout from all of the brutes and louts that seemed to fill this isle to the brim.

A simple goal, but not all persons who set sail need large ambitions in order to succeed in life.

Subarashi finally spoke up, leaning lower so that his maw was near the ear of his beloved battle matron, letting her know his displeasure in the only way he knew how.

Ravenously flirting with her.

"Cuckukuku, naughty girl. My darling, what are you up to? This was not the plan, you choose to delay our performance?"

His voice was genuine and held the slightest twinge of judgment. But Yukina was quick to express her intentions. Leaving virtually no room for any miscommunication.

"Master~, you know a girl my size couldn't possibly be of any use sober." She began with a sultry voice, capitalizing on his weak libido. "Catchin’ criminals without dullin’ our pain receptors is such an amateurish mistake, wouldn't ya agree?"

Her words were quick in their effectiveness. Subarashi immediately recalled that their so-called performance was not a display of his musical prowess.

Rather it was their need to capture a fearsome bounty! He would have felt so bad about getting distracted from this task if it weren’t for the fact that Subarashi had the attention span of a goldfish. Still, his acting skills were second to none, in his own mind at least. So even if it was clear that he was lying through his teeth, he said such lies with the utmost confidence. Enough to make it seem as though he believed himself.

“Ah yes, my honeysuckle,” Each of his girls had a different flower he associated them with, “You’ve passed the test with flying colors. Let us make way to the booze-house.”

Before they had a chance to make their way to their agreed-upon location, however, something caught Yukina’s eye. Something that brought a great deal of stress to her when she noted it. It was… a shame really. To be forced into a situation in which she’d have to go about her business sober was a true punishment. But one she had no choice but to readily accept.

Turning on her heels she spoke to her beloved idol once more, informing him of the postponement of their drinking escapade. She was determined to make it back to that inn for a drink. For now… she had to do her job.

“Beloved, there is someone familiar lookin headin into that alleyway, looks like he had one of ‘em symbols on him from the Huntsly crew.”

“With such clear bravado, they display their coat of arms? How fortuitous, mi amor. Let us hunt the Huntsly.”

She blushed, but it did not hinder her movements in any way.

She thought about contacting Kiyomi, if only to confirm the information that was discussed the night before.

---The Night Prior---

Within the main tent, above the pleasure hall, atop the Eros Basilius, stood three figures. Each one looked down at a withered map of the Jolly Keys, with a bunch of small flags with different colors pinned on various islands. Standing at the head of the table was Hifune herself, who had both of her arms crossed underneath her chest. Her eyes were fixated on the map itself.

“Alright, let us go over some details while we still have the chance, Kiyomi, what did you discover thus far?” Hifune’s eyes glanced over towards the woman in question.

“Surprisingly enough, we know very little about them. Tori send a message about an hour ago, confirming that Huntsly is in fact on Dexter Island, somewhere in the town of La Crima.” She’d gaze over towards Hifune.

“Her agents saw him with a group of individuals who were human, but we aren’t sure if they are his henchmen or allies. Could just be some locals he is spending time with.” Kiyomi would run her fingers through her brown hair slowly.

She stood to the left of the table, her attention never flipping back to the map itself.

“If they are non-essential, I say we just slaughter ‘em and be down wit-it.” Yukina spoke after rubbing her lips with the back of her left hand, belching loudly as a follow-up.

The gourd in her right hand sloshed around slowly before it raised once again to her mouth. Where she’d return to lapping up the sake within. Cheeks now flushed red in her hedonism.

“You all know my stance on such matters already. If they lack any monetary value, their lives mean little. We can kill whomever so long as we take the primary subject alive.” Kiyomi’s indifference was showcased on her face clear as day.

Leaning back, Hifune clapped her hands together. As to get the attention of the other two women.

“Let’s not be too hasty now. When we touch down we can meet up with the rest of the Yūjo under Tori’s command. She would probably have more information that we can use. If we aren’t prudent in our behavior, we might draw unwanted attention.”

“Itza pirate Stronghold, ya? Pretty sure violence is commonplace amongst the rabble, we’ll be fine. Slushihihi” Yukina stated with a strong bellow as she pulled her bottle from her lips.

“You do have a point, but still. Let’s at the very least cover our bases before we resort to violence.” Hifune rolled her eyes, before looking back down at the map.

Yukina scoffed and tossed her bottle forward with a great deal of strength, causing it to fly over the railing and fall down to the floor below. Smashing into the tiled floors with enough impact to scare the women beneath their current location.

“No promises. But fine, whatever.” Yukina was not a fan of this, but she wasn’t going to complain more than she needed to.

Without any reaction to the outburst, Kiyomi flipped her hair and focused on Hifune. As she found Yukina’s behavior to be that of a child and therefore she’d give said child no attention.

“Good, I am glad we all are on the same page for once. Rare given the large gap in… well never mind. As for how we deal with the issue of keeping Master safe…”

---Currently…---

Clicking her tongue against her teeth in annoyance, she sped up until she entered the maw of the alleyway, catching a glimpse of someone’s ankle and brown leather boot turning at the end of the alley itself.

She knew it wasn’t safe to take her master with her, especially since she didn’t have any backup, but she figured that it was better to gather this intel now, as opposed to walking around with no way to find their target.

The fact that she found someone who worked for Huntsly wasn’t exactly a mistake either, there was a reason that all the women split up in the first place. She had an equal chance of finding evidence as anyone else. She just wasn’t the kind of person who could handle said info happily.

With that said, she made her way down the alley, reaching down towards the left side of her curvy waist, taking hold of her sword’s grip, and turning down the left portion of the alley quickly as she drew her blade. Letting the metal fly out towards nothingness. Only inches away from what appeared to be an iron door with small bars covering a window-like opening.

Almost immediately her blade returned to being sheathed. She huffed in disappointment as she approached the large metal door. Tapping her knuckles on the metal before a deep raspy voice rang out.

“Password?” There were no follow-up statements, purely silence.

“Wait…wha?” Yukina was taken aback.

She hadn’t prepared for this. If this was some sort of exclusive hole-in-the-wall. She had no idea how she was going to gain entry here. Especially given the fact that she was by far the least charismatic of all the women in this crew.

Fortunately, Subarashi was here. He’d take a deep breath, clicking his heels against his woman’s thighs so that she instinctively knew to turn to the side, like a good horse.

He’d speak in a fairly feminine voice.

“Open the door you bitch ass motherfucker! Don’t piss me off.” He pouted and puffed his cheeks out, actively degrading the man behind the door.

Through the silence, Yukina focused. Waiting for some sort of response. She readied herself just in case. But after a few seconds without any responses whatsoever, she found herself rolling her eyes. Why?

Because the door made a large thud noise, before swinging open and allowing the pair entry.

The man posted at the doorway visible now due to the light flooding through the door flame. His face blushing profusely in his rapture.

These simps were wild.

[Abandoned] A Fool's Errand

Subarashi found himself completely enamored with successfully pulling off today's bounty grab. Not because anything about the ordeal came across as being particularly special. But rather due to the fact that even he could understand just how rare the opportunity was to capture a bounty from someone within a pirate stronghold. Such opportunities rarely presented themselves to bounty hunters. And often their contributions to these tasks went largely under the radar. But if he planned to become a hunter of note, he had to make a change one way or another.

Granted, he didn't personally put a lot of stock into the opportunity beyond it merely justifying having more cash flow to spend on his lovely ladies. It was undoubtedly all the motivation he needed personally. His ladies, however, wanted to improve their circumstances as well. Often it fell to the women to keep everything running smoothly.

As he clung to Yuki, he steered her as he would a horse. Making sure that he paid attention to the various colorful persons that were all around him in so many different directions.

He did this not because he cared about capturing the bounty that he barely paid attention to… but rather because he wanted to find the perfect location to set up his concert. There were many persons here that he figured would pay a pretty penny to see him shake his little tush and that made him see berris.

Perhaps his greed was the only thing keeping him going these days, but there was no way that he’d ever realize that. Because he lived his life in a manner that was complete without any rhyme or reason. He just… did whatever and it always worked out for him.

Hifune on the other hand wanted nothing more than for this operation to end with Subarashi's best interests in mind. However, she was more than aware that things were not going to be simple here, especially given the fact that the target was someone who had given plenty of hunters trouble in the past.

Mind you, not in terms of their combat prowess. But in terms of their slippery nature.

The fact that Alexi seemed to bring up a question she had no answer to only added to that air of uncertainty. Hifune would bring her hand up, cupping her own chin before speaking with confidence. Even if she lacked information, it was half the job to figure out half of these things regardless.

The hunting part of being a Bounty Hunter required a modicum of investigative skills.

“You are correct, we have no idea if he is backed by anyone here or not. As for his followers, we aren’t sure if he has any or not either. We will need to investigate his whereabouts without letting him catch on that we are on his heels.”

In fact, there was no guarantee he was even on this island still either. But she doubted he’d leave such a safe haven to chance it at sea. Especially when his bounty was much higher than what was safe for a man of his caliber.

Without any hesitation, however, Kiyomi piped up in her own certainty. She often kept the information to herself, and that was one of the reasons that the Berri Bordello was not yet a well-oiled machine. Or anything to write home about for that matter.

“I would imagine that he has some followers of his own. They might have some sort of identifier that makes it clear they are affiliated with one another. Depends on how sophisticated his operation manages to be.” Though there was a high chance that he lacked followers and was merely using forces given to him by his benefactor. There was no way of knowing right now.

“But if he does have a benefactor somewhere here on the island the best way to gain that information would be to go to somewhere that is populated with the sorts of people who have looser lips. So we should start our investigation at one of the large taverns nearby. Use our natural advantages to pry information out of those who are just intoxicated enough to let their guard down.”

She had no issues using her womanly wiles to get what she needed, especially if it led to another capture. Whether or not they brought this target alive mattered little to Kiyomi.

She cared more about the process than the end result. So long as it was an effective route.

“Hmm… I suppose that makes sense. We could split up and hit multiple taverns, there are more than enough women in the Bordello to hit many different locations all at once. Alexi and I can investigate one of the buildings further in.”

Hifune wasn’t going to argue about strategies so long as they got to work quickly and effectively.

“That is of course unless you have another idea, Alexi?” Kiyomi rose an eyebrow. Running around without any solid leads & information made creating plans a bitch.

[Abandoned] A Fool's Errand

The Night Before, Unnamed Island

Stars shine down on the remote island as street lights illuminated the cobblestone roads. Many had gone to sleep, as this was a law-abiding town that seemingly lacked any zest or flavor. The Marines that were stationed here were few and far between, but they did take their jobs seriously and patrolled the streets with fervor. At first, they had assumed that Subarashi’s motley crew was an invading force of Pirates.

But it didn’t take long to realize that the entire flock of women immediately took off towards the town-square, without so much of an attempt at pillaging.

The girls scrambled to gather around in a large mass for their glorious and beloved leader, the immaculately beautiful stout king, Subarashiiii. Whose sultry dulcet tones rang out towards his fanbase, calming their hearts and preparing them for the task at hand.

“No matter the case, we must come together and bring in these criminals in a manner most bombastic.” He’d flip his hair, giving a wink towards his compatriots and sending them whipped up into a frenzy.

Though as he stood on his little wooden box, here in the center of some unimportant island, the women who actually got shit done were standing near a large bounty board that listed several big named pirates and criminals that were located somewhere in La Crima. To say they were spoiled for choice was an understatement to be sure. Especially given the fact that some of these Pirates were just way too powerful for their group to hunt down, but they did have lesser members that were more in their wheelhouse.

Standing closest to the board was the raven-haired beauty, Hifune. Seen wearing a black fur coat that stopped at her midriff, showcasing her abdomen. She wore a burgundy tank top underneath that was visible with the words Panic written across the chest. Black leather booty shorts hugged her waist and thighs while her stark white belt held them up. Halfway up her thighs, she wore leggings that went down to her shin-high boots, both being black in color. She was curious about the contents of the board, having studied the papers thoroughly.

“Even though Master is having fun, let us remember to be discreet… we are way too outmanned and outgunned to be running around this island recklessly. We need to approach this in a manner that is more… intelligent.” Hifune remarked as her sapphire blue eyes focused on the wanted posters.

She was the true leader of this little gang of now-hardened bounty huntresses.

The glugging of alcohol could be heard not too far from her, and the clacking of apple-wood sandals could be heard clattering against the cobblestones all the while. Her gray eyes lazily glanced over towards the leader of this little posse as she made her way forward. The approaching seven-foot tall woman with stark blonde hair came up to Hifune. Removing her large gourd from her lips and making a sound of refreshment before she’d wear a huge grin.

“Ahhh… might be a bit of a problem… but sheeesh. We will handle it easily..” She chuckled loudly and with authority in her voice.

Yukina often was the loudest in the group.

Her eyes peered over towards a figure that was not a part of the Harem but was still someone whose womanly assets were very noticeable. Whomever this strange woman was, she spoke to her cheerfully, unlike she had with her own crew of women.

“If you want, you can join us. We have a ship that can fit a lot more people on it. You seem to be eyeing the same bounty that we are.” Hifune spoke confidently to the woman whose hair was pink and green, pointing at the picture of this strange-looking man. “Not every day there is a bounty to capture a Revolutionary of note.”

She’d cross her arms underneath her chest, raising an eyebrow.

“The name is Hifune, Mistress of the Berri Bordello Bounty Hunters, nice to meet you. If you want, we can go over some details of the hunt… we can split the share in your favor, we aren’t interested in the money.” Which was true, they just wanted the reputation.

She waited to hear a response, they’d have to get to the island sooner rather than later, but there was a bit of time before they boarded the ship. And once they would, they’d be swept up into that hurricane and end up right on La Crima.

4:00am - Next Day

“Well, that was a rough night but we managed to get through that storm without being completely obliterated… How are you feeling?” Hifune questioned as she began her way down the plank, thinking that it was a good idea to go over the discussion from last night once more.

But before she could, the larger woman, Yukina, came down the ramp in her black kimono that was covered in blood-red tulips. Her two katanas resting on her right hip. And on her back rode Subarashi himself. Who clung to her back while wearing his armor and his own sword at his side.

“Good morning, ladies… hmm.. I do not recall seeing this one… no matter we can have some fun later. For now! We must enact justice on this isle of absolute… villainy. Onward, Yuki!” Subarashi clicked his heels against the brute of a woman’s thighs, and it sent her into a blushing frenzy as she walked away from Hifune and Alexi.

“Ah.. Haha... Sorry about that. Master is a bit… eccentric. She admitted before she stretched out her arms and tightened her extendable staff against her waist. So, we should go over the particulars again. Do you agree?” She began to walk down the dock, which, they did pay a rather exorbitant fee to do, but money wasn’t an object for this crew since one of their members was literally a prissy little rich girl.

“His name is Growl R. Huntsly, he used to be a member of the New Revolutionary Army, but went rogue and started to do things on his own methodology. He is wanted not only by the NRA but the World Government as well. He’s made many foes, but he is an idiot. Coming to a Pirate Haven only makes it easier to catch you, especially if you have nothing to offer those who could protect you….” This voice belonged to none other than Kiyomi, the Sniper and the third strongest member of this little Bordello.

She ran her fingers through her brunette hair, emerald eyes fixated on Alexi as she spoke. “Shouldn’t be much of a problem.” This woman was dressed in a white and blue coat that went down to her thighs as though she was royalty and she had a flintlock pistol on her hip, hanging off her little belt. Her feet clacked against the wood of the docks, she was willing to answer any questions while they still had the time.

[Arc][Part1] The Rosebud Incident - Tournamentality

Current Quest:

Subarashi was the kind of man that completely adored the thought of a tournament and hearing that his bounty had fled to Karate Island was more than enough reason for the king of fuckfu to spectate the one that was being held soon. The look of excitement on his face showcased his mischievous nature, for he had wanted nothing more in this world than to watch a bunch of sweaty men beat each other up for his entertainment.

Subarashi only hoped that his disguise would allow him to pass through the town unnoticed.

He wore a long raincoat that was black in color, with large goggles over his eyes that were blacked out. He even wore a pink mustache over his face and moved around with limp for good measure. He still wore all of his gear underneath the parka-like raincoat, but for now he made sure that he didn't tip his hand. Absolutely nothing about him was suspicious in any way. Which was why he bought the twenty gallon top hat to go with his ensemble.

He was a master of disguise, no?

One of the biggest disadvantages to being an absolute stud was that it seemed like no matter where he roamed, someone would recognize him. More than likely it would be an informant working for his target or his target themselves. Either way it made capturing his marks a pain in the ass the likes of which he couldn't possibly appreciate. Yet, he seemed to be a master of his craft. Since no matter what happened he always caught his prey.

Be it that he passed out and pissed himself or he merely swung so wildly that his slash would have missed it's target, none of it mattered much. Subarashi had nearly always captured whatever quarry found themselves unfortunate enough to be caught in his gaze.

Today would prove no different. That much he was certain.

One thing did slip Subarashi's mind, however. He didn't seem to think about the large gang of females that were surrounding him on all sides. Women whom were convinced to wear similar attire to his own, complete with their own mustaches. But he insisted that they wear bodysuits instead of their traditional outfits. Which meant that they were appearing to be shapely women with thick pink mustaches.

While Subarashi swore he was the smartest man on the island, there was no doubt that he was drawing attention to himself. Especially since he didn't really do the best job of not using his own name when speaking to the numerous vendors and merchants that were out on the town this day.

A deep, spicy voice rang out among the murmurs and buzz of this particular section of the town square.

"I, Subarashi, declare that we make our way to the arena post haste!" Subarashi flourished his hands around like some sort of on-stage performer. Allowing for his guile to grace those who could see him near and far.

Hifune grimaced as she walked to the direct right of Subarashi, her arms crossed over one another, just underneath her bosom. Her modified yanyuedao was being carried by one of the many women within Subarashi's greater entourage and it was covered in a lacey fabric to disguise what it properly was.

"Master, it might be in our best interest to use code names." She spoke with an authoritative tone. She was the voice of reason within the Bordello as a whole.

In an attempt to look cute despite wearing his disguise, Subarashi raised himself up on his tiptoes and placed a hand on Hifune's shoulder, tilting his head to the left.

"I'd never call you anything outside of your beautiful name, Hifune-dono."

Blushing profusely, Hifune still managed to conduct herself in a manner most mature. "While I thank you for your straightforwardness, this mission requires the upmost secrecy." She reaffirmed her position despite being obviously flustered.

Subarashi shrugged at her statement however, adopting a fairly dismissive pose as he started to skip at a walking pace. His voice developing a bit of a sing-song vibrato.

"If I heard correctly, they were going to be adding our target... what's his name, to the roster. Easy-peasy."

"His name is Deringer Colt, a ranking member of the Wighteye Gang. Prominent gang operating from the nearby Briss Kingdom. Known for his gun-kata skills." She was quick to give him insight into who their target was. Not that it mattered all that much in the end.

Subarashi was never the man that ended up saving the day in the long haul. So the information she spat out was more so for the benefit of the other four ladies that happened to be apart of the Berry Bordello's leadership.

"Guns are fucking lame." For a split second, Subarashi's whining made his voice sound childish. As though his octave rose by three-hundred percent and his accent disappointed.

"Master!" Kiyomi was quick to react, her face bright red.

Though it was not red with admiration. This was clearly irritation.

"I mean besides your own, Kiyomi-kins. Cuckukuku~!" He'd quickly hop atop of her, clinging to her upper torso as she struggled to peel him off.

Their argument that ensued drowned out by the conversation that picked up between both Yukina and Hifune respectively.

"I sense a few strong presences here. Might be some rival bounty hunters lurking around."

"True, however I doubt it. This is a martial arts tournament, so there are bound to be skilled warriors coming from all around to participate." She addressed Yukina's instincts dryly.

Yukina was the only member of the group to activate her latent haki, not that any of them knew what that stuff was. So Yukina was often trusted whenever she had a gut feeling about something. Hifune simply wanted to remind Yukina that they shouldn't jump the gun just yet.

"We ought to be on guard just in case." Yukina insisted.

"Understandable. Kiyomi-chan, keep an eye out for hostiles, Mast-." She gave her order to Kiyomi, who managed to finally get Subarashi to let go of her.

The little man scampered on over towards the middle of the group once more, crossing his arms and gleefully shouting out with a full dominating presence. Cutting off his second-in-command before she even had a chance to address him with orders.

"Enough talk, let's move on out ladies!"

Hifune sighed softly, though Minako perked up and spoke.

"I think I have a good idea of where we ought to look next actually."

Such a revelation caused Subarashi's ears to perk up. He knew that if his navigator determined there to be a better route, it was best to listen to her advice.
