Personality: Octavia is a young woman with a goal, to surpass her mother. Whatever this may cost, whatever it may take, she doesn't care, so long as in the end she is no longer compared to The Sea Witch, she will BE The Sea Witch. This is a goal that drives her to do almost everything she does. Slaughter, torture, and enslave innocents. It is all to earn the fame and recognition her mother once had. For people to quiver in fear at just her name, it's what she lives for. However, jealousy is not all there is to Octavia.
She's an incredibly sassy individual and will always have a snarky and or witty remark, especially when it comes to enemies. Down talking them right before completely and utterly overpowering them is a great way to wear down that ego and get them ready to be in chains. Being in power over people is a guilty pleasure and just like her mother, she will not hesitate to kill if it meant she would get her way. Why she did such a thing? It was simple really, to remind those poor unfortunate merpeople who exactly it was they should be afraid of. It was a fearful event, and every time they saw her Jolly Rodger they had no choice but to accept their fate. Ursula Barbary would mercilessly kidnap and enslave her own people, either selling them to the highest bidder or forcing them to be a part of her crew. Those who denied or resisted were instantly slaughtered, but many were never given a choice due to Ursula's devil fruit which allowed her to imitate the appearance of others. Often she'd disguise as a loved one and swoop them away in order to make the kidnappings go smoother, this illusion of grandeur was how she became known under the alias of "The Sea Witch."
It was this cruel behavior that got her the astonishing bounty of three hundred and seventy five million guaranteed that her name would go down in history, but she wanted more, she wanted a legacy. She wanted to be the one barking orders and giving commands, but as long as Ursula was in the picture, that wouldn't be happening.

Octavia was growing to be a young woman which meant that Ursula could once again return to Ryugu in order to wreak havoc upon her people but this time the wicked sea witch was welcomed by a Yonko known as the "White Saint" and though she held her own for as long as she could but was inevitably defeated. Everyone onboard the ship was freed, even Octavia who was mistaken as a slave, and that was a mistake that would both saved her life and end countless others. After escaping, she began to start her journey as a pirate, in an attempt to become what her mother was, what she so longed to be, but she would have to start from the beginning of course, which meant the North Blue.

Description: Katarina possesses long pink hair that is usually kept down, allowed to flow free, wild and untamed, but when it proves a hassle and only gets in her way she will tie it into a braid. Her rare hair color gives a nice contrast to her blue eyes that look as if you took the sky and the ocean and combined them into something new. One would expect her skin to be dark considering she is a pirate and all, but it appears to be fair, with a gentle kiss from the sun. Personality: Katarina is a bold and abrasive woman, she isn't afraid to speak her mind in any situation because her opinion will always be valued, or so she believes. If words could kill, Katarina would have a lot more blood on her hands. She's been noted to be something of a vixen, a beautiful woman with a harsh vocabulary and a feisty attitude. She doesn't know when to stop, and often people rage at her for her remarks. Even if she were held captive at gunpoint she would have something smart or snarky to say, might as well get your last words in right?
She is someone who doesn't care how others view her, or so she claims. This is more or less true apart from the fact that she does like recognition for her work, as infamy is something that drives her. For everyone to know her name and to cower at the sight of her, she wouldn't show weakness or fault as she had in her past and she wouldn't end up like her parents. That is, after all, the entire reason she had become who and what she is today, a monster. They once told her to be on the winning side, and evil was clearly it.
Her arrogance has no boundaries and due to the abilities of her devil fruit she often believes that no one can defeat her, a common catchphrase of hers being "Well, someone can't hold their liquor." a pun on her alcohol controlling powers. True to her words, most battles only feed her ego, not that she has truly fought anyone worth noting, but a small victory is still a victory and she will take anything she can get. Winning gives her a rush that she just can't explain, nothing can beat it and she wouldn't trade the feeling for the world, well... maybe the world, but not anything else!
To top it all of, Katarina is an incredibly cruel woman. Having suffered in her past her moral compass is severely broken and she feels that in order to survive, people need to feel loss, so in a way whatever bad shes doing is also a favor to those who miraculously survive. It might be a delusion, but it's one she feels strongly about. That in this dog eat dog world the strong will come out on top, and Katarina feels that after what she's been through, she deserves a spot near the peak of that totem pole.

There were new faces every day, whether they be pirates, marines, or just travelers it was great for the family business. The location brought them the customers but their skill got them the money. They were renowned blacksmiths, capable of creating advanced weapons out of the finest materials. If you needed a sword, dagger, or gun, the Fabron's were who you went too and they liked to take credit for Loguetowns fame.
Being extremely wealthy, one could guess that they were married to their careers. They put almost everything into their work and the rest went to their only daughter. Katarina didn't mind the lack of attention, she filled the hole in her life with the stories told to her by all the visitors on the island. Every day she'd wait eagerly on the docks for a new ship to roll in and believe it or not, even the evilest pirates and the most corrupted marines have soft spots for cute and curious little girls. She'd listen to their stories, the adventures they had, always wondering to herself why they couldn't just get along. It seemed simple enough but the conflict was something that she was too young to understand. No, the lesson that she needed to be taught would come much later in life.
As she grew up she noticed that not many marines came to Loguetown anymore and the base they had on the island had sense then been destroyed. It made Katarina sad, and when she asked her parents about the situation they answered with someone that she would remember forever. "It's all about power sweetheart, you just make sure that you're supporting the winning side." It didn't mean much to her then but as she got older she began to understand. Her parents made weapons for more and more people, pirates. They were many crews main supplier, relied on by many and though the World Government had abandoned the island, they knew they had to put a stop to this trade before it got out of hand and so they sent one of their best to take care of it.
It was an odd day, something about it was just different, older now Katarina still waited at the docks for newcomers and she saw something she hadn't seen in a long long time. A marine ship. Her eyes instantly widened, and she knew that this was a story she didn't want to hear, little did she know she would be a part of it. As Katarina ran home they stormed the island, demanding to know where the Fabron family resided and the residents quickly turned, giving the marines their location. It wasn't long before they were right outside and the door was melted away with a bit of magma. They expected to die right then and there but they were given an offer instead. If they made weapons for the navy their lives would be spared but they stood their ground and said no. Right before Katarina's eyes, her parents were encased in Magma and then melted into nothing.
Anger flowed through her veins as she lunged for a pistol, firing it at the man's head it passed right through. Luckily he had decided that she could live, but not without a physical reminder of what had happened that day. The fact that defiance leads to defeat. She didn't know how to handle something as dramatic as this, and she didn't know how to recover, so she turned to what most people turn too in desperate times, alcohol. It was her only friend, and it helped her forget everything that happened to her, or it would have if it wasn't for that scar. The damn scar. Every time she saw her reflection or got her bangs out of her face she felt it and no matter how drunk she was she would remember the day that her life was ruined.
Determined to get out of her slump she sailed out to sea where she picked up some skills and finally learned how to use the guns her parents held so close to their hearts. Dual pistols they had made especially for her that up until now she had neglected. She became something of a different person, raiding islands and slaughtering innocents without a care in the world. Years ago Katarina would have despised this behavior, but she knew now it was the only way to get things done and it was through this that she obtained her devil fruit. On an expedition in which she killed a retired pirate, she noticed a nearby apple change, from a dark red to white with strange yellow swirls. She knew that this was what that man had, the admiral, a devil fruit, and if she wanted to get stronger she was going to have to eat it. The fruit was the most disgusting thing she'd ever tasted, but it gave her control over alcohol, which was incredibly ironic but fitting.
With her newfound strength, Katarina is located in the North Blue and is determined to find a pirate crew.
