Dogo Dogo no Mi

Devil Fruit: Dogo Dogo no Mi (Bonk-Bonk Fruit)
Devil Fruit Type: Paramecia

Devil Fruit Appearance:

Spoiler:

The Dogo Dogo no Mi bears the likeness of a ripened fig, with dark skin contrasted by the characteristic spiral pattern and stem, both a brilliant gold. Its insides, too, comprise of clusters of juicy, gem-like amber seeds, each one bursting with incredible flavors. Of agony.

Devil Fruit Description: The user becomes a Bonk Human, gaining the ability to write a sound effect on a solid surface other than Seastone simply by touching it, and create a temporary, corresponding effect either to or from that surface. For example, “Bonk” creates a light impact, while “Sparkle” lets the surface surrounding the writing glow brightly.

Besides the typical Devil Fruit weaknesses, Dogo Dogo no Mi’s powers invariably require the user to make physical contact with the surface they want to affect. Because of this, the user is also not immune to the adverse effects of their own abilities - it is entirely possible for them to accidentally hurt themselves or become distracted from their own sounds. Writing from the Devil Fruit can also be distorted to the point it becomes illegible, or fragmented, rendering a sound effect useless—this includes altering the surface’s state of matter. Logia Devil Fruit users are practically immune to being written on for this reason, although they can still be affected by an effect from an object or body part of the user’s that was empowered by Haki. Lastly, the writing will dissolve by coming into contact with water.

Fighting Style: Please Bonk Responsibly
Weapon Utilization: Hammer, Needle, Fisticuffs, 1v1 me ya pansy
Description: Issun may have received combat training from the Tontatta Kingdom, but the only thing that stuck was the discipline. Instead, she decided to obtain whatever weapons felt comfortable to her, using the techniques came naturally to her. One would think, as small as she is, Issun would be at a disadvantage, but she is a dwarf; not only is she much stronger than she appears, she’s used to fighting opponents much bigger than her, be they human, Sea King, or worse, Unsinkable Sam. Adding in her Devil Fruit’s ability, and a little ingenuity, and Issun becomes her own little force of nature.

Toggled and Passive Abilities

As a result of the Devil Fruit’s transient, and sometimes self-harming abilities, passive abilities are difficult to come by, and toggled abilities are nonexistent. However . . .

Limited Flight: By taking advantage of her small size and light weight, Issun can use the sound effect “Whoosh” on her feet to create bursts of air to lift her up off the ground, the idea being that she continually uses “Whoosh” both to keep her aloft and to slow her descent when she needs to land. Strong external winds can still affect her and throw her off balance, because she is still so light, but hey, talk about falling with style!

Luminescence: Issun can apply the sound effect “Sparkle” on herself or her equipment to glow bright enough to illuminate her surroundings. This is useful for lighting her way in the dark, or drawing enemy attention to her.
