The Past
Main Traits: Clockwork Person (Tokei Tokei no Mi)
Likes: Counting to large numbers, any sort of music or poetry
Dislikes: Fire
Unique laugh: "Clikikikikikikikik"
Hometown: Toroa
Personality: Henry is a very logical person, to the point that one might consider him too logical. Indeed he finds his logic absolutely terrible as it reasons why he should not do anything reckless when his heart thirsts for adventure and excitement. Thus while he is of logical nature, his inner rebel will often cause him to act erratically against his logic in willful defiance. In addition, he is a very intelligent person in both mathematics and biology, however can often misunderstand or be apathetic toward emotional situations.
- History:
Henry was a smart young lad in Toroa from a simple farming family. He would rather study than work the field, and quickly began inventing various devices to save time like a wind-up seed planter or field waterer. His father found out about this laziness and believed that while Henry's intelligence was something to encourage, he could not allow Henry to lose a sense of work ethic either. So for the next month Henry would sleep alone in the shed. It wasn't so bad, as even then Henry would read his books by candlelight in the dead of night with little fear of his father discovering his bad sleeping habits. This was, of course, until Henry had fallen asleep before putting his candle out. One thing led to another and soon the flame spread, setting the shed on fire. By the time he woke up, Henry's sheets and books and hair were all aflame as well.
Rescued by his family and treated by a local doctor, 99% of Henry's skin had been burnt away, his life practically pain itself. In despair, his father and mother took loans and sold whatever they could afford to, buying one miraculous chance that they thought might be able to save Henry: a Devil's Fruit. They bought it off some pirates who had sailed by and took pity on the family, for a price, without any knowledge of what sort of fruit it was or what it might do to Henry. But they believed that if they couldn't save Henry with this, there was little chance left after for him to attain any sort of fulfilling lifestyle.
When Henry woke up next, he would have consumed the Tokei Tokei no Mi via a straw and have become a clockwork person. Without skin, his internal organs had all become gears, held together by a metal frame. And yet... he was alive. In spite of his appearance, his family rejoiced that he was out of pain and able to move, providing him the clothing to hide his appearance and go outside. It was only a matter of time, though, before the locals knew about what Henry had become and scorned him for it, so Henry made a decision: to get away from this toxic environment and to pay back his family who lost so much to bring him back, he would join the Marines!

And interesting take on hiding one's scars with a newly gained power. You missed filling out the Main Traits field. Otherwise, this is ready to be approved!
