Theon Clyde
Basic Character Information

Middle Name/Initial: N/A
Last Name: Clyde
Epithet: N/A
Age: 22
Gender: Male
Race: Human
Faction: Pirate
Profession: Swordsman - Learning the way of swordsmanship back in Shimotsuki Village has granted him enough of a starting point to be proficient in swordsmanship.
Shipwright - Learned under the man he was trained by, he tends to work with ships and finds it more interesting than being a swordsman.
Physical Appearance
Height: 6'0"
Weight: 167 lbs
Hair Style: Spiky, upwards hair.
Hair Color: Blond
Eye Color: Gray-Blue
Scars: A large scar going across his forehead.
Clothing and Accessories: Although his appearance in itself is a bit bizarre, his clothing are more mundane and typical of a civilians. A common outfit to see him in is a white shirt with black buttons lining up to the neck, complete with a white collar that is neatly placed down, the top two buttons are usually off, showcasing some of his chest, alongside a pair of dark-blue jeans that are pretty standard and are neatly tucked into his black boots. The last bit of clothing that tends to change a lot is whether or not he wears the jacket, and this is perhaps the only interesting thing to note about his appearance. He wears all sorts of coloured jackets, blue, yellow, red, purple, pink, when asked on what his favourite colour is, he'll simply say "I don't have one, I just pick a colour when I feel like it." and this is reflected in the choices of his jacket.
Description: Theon is seen as a tall and yet averagely built man. Aside from the scar, he doesn't have anything that puts him apart from the human male. The dark bags under his eyes and the scar would let one think that he's shady in some way, to which he tries to make up for in more "honest" clothing.

Unique laugh: Dardardardardar!
Hometown: East Blue, Shimotsuki Village
Personality: Theon tends to have a heavy respect towards those who are clearly his betters, as most of his knowledge and morals that he considers sacred are thanks to them, even going as far to feel responsible for what happened to the shipwright that helped him in a dark place, and planned to fully pay the nobility who exiled him despite not being asked to. He has been instilled with a love for more eccentric tastes, trying to represent this in his clothing style sometimes and even in what he builds as a shipwright.
He tends to be insecure about his looks, as he has more than often been called as "shifty, untrustworthy, shady-looking" which he took to heart and while he can't change the way he looks biologically, he can change the way he dresses. He tries, or at least the keyword "tried" to live a decent life in the pursuit of securing money to pay off the debt that he forced upon the shipwright, but finds that if he wants to get the money in a short amount of time, the way he's going about it legally isn't working. He realises that in the pursuit of piracy, he may have to abandon some morals and while this isn't something he has come to easily accept, it's something he has to be hardened for.
- History:
His father had been an outsider to the Shimotsuki Village, believing that he was only after the secrets of the dojos in their swordsmanship. Theon had been used by his father to get closer instead, as the dojos hadn't initially made the biological connection, believing Theon to be a simple stray, for most of what he can remember growing up, he was training intensely, sword in each hand. It was harsh, but the instructors and his fellow friends had shown him a kindness that his father hadn't given him. After a few years of training, questions were eventually asked as to where he actually came from. He heeded his fathers words, merely stating that he didn't know but this only made him more suspicious, which led to an investigation from one of the instructors.
After they had seen Theon enter the same home as the man who was an outsider to them, it became evident real quick to them as to how Theon actually came across their doorstep, and he was immediately exiled. Theon had been crushed emotionally and mentally, but his father believed that Theon had enough of their "secrets" to take. They had made their jump to another island, with his father constantly picking on Theon to try and get him to reveal what he learned, but Theon insisted that it's "not something that's easily showable, and takes years of training." after realising that his long-term investment was a waste, his father had acted cold towards Theon once more. At one stage, his father had never come back and Theon was left alone.
It didn't take long for Theon to hit the streets, who resorted to stealing as a way to try and survive. It was fortunate that his victim was a shipwright for the village, who immediately knocked down Theon for the attempt, followed by "You want something? you gotta earn it." in the man's twisted perception, he deemed Theon his apprentice. He was reluctant at first, but he showed a similar kind but necessary harshness that Theon's instructors back on Shimotsuki island had shown. He was quick to warm up to the shipwright, working under him for a years which led to him becoming an apprentice shipwright himself.
They had both received an invitation to a feast, by the island's own royalty. The feast itself was particularly boring for when it had happened and Theon had decided to dabble into the kitchen, which had a skeleton crew. He had initially been looking for a place to nap through the whole event, but a particular-coloured fruit had caught his eye. Theon's natural curiosity had made him eat it, which led to a series of shoutings and people rushing in, taking Theon away to the court.
The fruit itself was meant for one of the children, which had been bought by one of their parents. The shipwright had tried to apologise for Theon's behalf, but deemed a proper punishment; Theon would be exiled, the shipwright would have to work off the hundreds of millions of beli that the devil fruit had cost.
Upset that he had lost what was essentially one of the few people who had been good to him, he reluctantly left the island but not without making the promise of building up the beli himself to pay back the debt, wanting to one day return back to the island.
He transitioned from his teenage years into being an adult, taking any high-paying jobs that would take him, mostly revolved around what he knew based on swordsmanship and being a shipwright. As a shipwright, he sometimes worked for pirates and marines alike, as a swordsman, he tended to do protection jobs that usually would be fine most of the time, but it did lead to a scuffle that ended up with the scar on his forehead.
Realising that it'd take a lifetime to earn the money he needs to get legitimately, he has considered the idea of piracy... one that he will very soon take upon.
