Census/Who's Who feature where people can quickly check how many characters there are of each faction and make informed decisions. I wonder if there is a way to automate it, similar to the top posting users feature, since the site itself already knows how many accounts belong to each group.

This is actually not a bad idea. If I make these consumables expensive enough, it might be another exit for what's in the players' pockets without being too unbalanced. If you have more specific ideas for various consumables, do send them my way, and maybe we'll make something a la the two new perks from last Christmas.

This would be very simple for me to do if I had access to the server-side code for the site. Unfortunately, because we're dependent on the forum host, I can only do front-end programming. Which means, I cannot automate an activity check on the various factions for players to quickly check how many characters there are in each faction. That being said, players can check the trackers—which are organised by faction.
Additionally, you can also click on the faction group links to see the members in each of said groups (see image). Granted, we do have a lot of inactive members in both of those, but, I do plan to do a major roll call as soon as the new year begins. I expect a majority of the inactive members will get deactivated after this roll call and have their content archived.
