[Episode] The Organ Broker: Baterilla Empty [Episode] The Organ Broker: Baterilla

on Mon Jan 04, 2021 7:42 am
Current Quest:
Quest Name: The Organ Broker: Baterilla
Quest Category: Episode
Player Participants: Adonis D. Ýnami (+1)
Planned Location(s): Baterilla

Summary: With the prospect of leaving the island and hitting the high seas now firmly embedded into the heart of Adonis, he chooses to make last minute preparations for the long journey ahead. Namely, establishing a contact in the Organ Trade here on Baterilla and turning the former head of that operation into a pound of freshly cut sashimi. After-all, there are only so many organs that can be harvested in this business

Six pumps of whatever poor sod happened to cross Adonis' path was all it took to fully fill Charybdis. And only three seconds was needed for the Death Catheter to forget whomever that sorry sack was. To be remembered by the mad doctor was both an honor and a terrifying prospect to be sure. Deep within the ravenous bowels of his disjointed, or if you're feeling exceptionally edgy, fragmented psyche, lurked a man whose self reflection detailed a lack of care for one's own wellbeing. That is to say, his willingness to cease existing showcased a clearly defined absence of empathy. A fact that the surgeon used as a tool, a weapon. Not that his hands were any less of a threat.

It was this bleak outlook that allowed for the medical practitioner to choose a route in life that was far more dangerous than just setting up some clinic on a remote island. Or working at one of the many Marine operated facilities that always seemed to need new staff members. He wanted to work in a way that went completely against the ideology of the World Government. Partially because of the horrendous treatment that his family was subjected too by that faction, with the whole being murdered off situation, but mostly due to his heart had grown so jaded from that incident that he preferred hurting others. As though his soul was corrupted through an egregious amount of sadism.

Not that it bothered the madman personally, He had long since determined his fate. That is what led him here to Baterilla. it was the perfect location to start his descent down into the unfathomable depths of the criminal underworld. He already worked alongside those who were organized in their crime, so that provided the malicious medic with an entry point to expand his operations. His goal was simple, figure out who ran the majority of the shady back-alley dealings in terms of his specific field of expertise, which he planned to call the Organ Trail. A name he deemed to be rather catchy. His investigation had yet to bare fruit, yet his attitude was unwavering in it's over-all... positivity.

After-all, he did acquire some new ammunition from this hapless individual that was nothing more than a withered husk, not to mention acquiring just a bit of information that could point him in the right direction. He didn't want to become subject to any untoward ambushes or set-ups, so he took the liberty of spending extra special time with whoever this guy was. Now that he got what he came for, slipping his vial into his bandolier, he stood up straight and peered down the long narrow alleyway that seemed as though it was a dead-end. If what his victim articulated was based in truth, this path bode well for further investigation. After-all, it was interesting that there could be a back-alley restaurant.

One that was apparently hidden behind a false wall within a labyrinth of winding corridors. It'd make since if this was the correct route regardless, given that the building that housed the back wall of this alley seemingly had no entrances on either side. A good way to hide a base of operations in plain sight without prying eyes being the wiser. Adonis knew that this was to be the start of his entire new life...which made him all the more nervous of the implications. This man...this individual who supposedly ran this sector of Baterilla's black market was no random guttersnipe. Hans R. Pebbleton was as wicked as they came. Especially since he was known to be forcing involuntary experimentation with...doping and muscle augmentation.
