Description: Iris is a lean girl with minimal muscle definition when not flexing. Careful glances at her hands and legs reveal lasting marks or callouses from menial labor from her history as a maid and entertainer. She's noted for having a strange colored tongue and she used to have the most exotic of wings that made her a rarity on the sky islands. After having her wings forcibly removed, she has two large haphazard scars along her shoulder blades from their removal.

For those she that she allies with, she has a strong sense of loyalty and admiration for them, unless they have some connection to the world's nobility system.
She often likes to take the time to properly hand brew tea or coffee for her friends, making sure they can appreciate the different flavors and aromas that they offer.
On the other side of the social coin, Iris often has a snarky almost biting sarcastic streak, being a fun-poking contrarian at times to try and hide her proper feelings.
In any given combat situation iris shows off a bit of her proper mindset. She has an exponential growth of sadistic tendencies that bloom in full the more enemies she fights and downs, especially when they are tied to any sort of noble or the black market. Often she can be heard commenting after the fact about her desire to remain in the top of her shape and each fight will only help refine that to the bitter end.
After battles she can be found calming down and keeping to herself while looking to the sky with a hopeful look. She comments to those that ask she is hoping to meet someone again some day, some day soon.
- History:
Iris was born into servitude, under one of the well off families on the whole of the Sky Islands, she was born with a rare plumage in contrast to the standard wings of her fellow islanders. This plumage mixed with her role as a maid from birth led to her being a prized possession of her lord Mont Etblanc. She grew up alongside Noire Etblanc, the daughter of her lord, as Noire's personal attendant.
Though as the two grew up together, they found their friendship to be more akin to a pair of soulmates for each other. With Iris and Noire often spending time together in private as less than lord and servant and more as close girlfriends meant to be together for life. This continued through their teen years, where Noire would learn about leading the Etblanc family business with its ties to the black market, and Iris training to become the head maid, who often dressed like a butler.
It wasn't until both turned eighteen that they made it a point to make their relationship known to the world at whole, something that Lord Mont did not approve of. As if waiting for the next chance he had that higher ups of the black market would come to visit, Mont Etblanc set up Iris to held back from her duties. Bad luck that had been planned far in advance befell iris that next fateful day, where the black marketeers would be staying for a week, a week known as Hell Within Heaven to Iris.
Every task she tried to accomplish was a failure or late, and she was reprimanded for it harshly, at first with words, then with physical blows. The exotic-winged girl was just being made an easy target for abuse, something that Noire tried her hardest to stop, which only cast gas on the already lit fire of Mont's rage. Toward the end of that dreadful week Iris was cast into the dungeon. She was not given food or water for two straight days and beaten for 'not knowing her proper place in the world.
At the end of that dreadful week she was brought before the marketeers, who had bought part of Iris, rather than her entire person. 'Damaged parts of the goods should be separated'. That's what she was told as she was restrained and one of the most inhumane things were done to her. With no warnings or anesthetics applied, iris had her wings sawed from her back. Her cries of pain, longing, and hatred rang out through the estate, even as she drifted in and out of consciousness.
To put the final nail in the coffin, she was dragged out of the state by the guards of the house, informed by her now former lord that she should be down in the Blues, she had no wings after all. Before she was pushed off, she was told this was all her fault for daring to think she had a place with Noire. Thus, Iris was cast from the sky islands, only to be saved by Noire throwing a waver to Iris.
