A captain without a captain’s hat might as well be naked. In addition to shielding Patrick from the weather, it offers some meager protection against blows to the noggin.

Booze Bottles
Never one to miss an excuse to drink (or even need one), Patrick carries a seemingly endless supply of brown bottles in his person. Simply knowing he has the elixir of life allows him to withstand a little more punishment.

Suffering from an old injury, Patrick isn’t much of a fighter anymore. He can still throw a punch without throwing out his back (most of the time), but any fancy martial arts are behind him. His current style is a mixture between wrestling and bar brawling. Punches, holds and broken bottles are all fair game to him.

Most of the time, the captain leaves the actual fighting to the younger generations. He sits on the sidelines, shouting encouragement and advice. Having decades of experience under his belt allows him to guide those willing to listen. In a similar vein, his sharp wit and tongue help him motivate people, or really get under their skin.
