Growing up, Zykar was always fascinated by the dense jungles surrounding his home. He would often sneak out of the city walls to explore the forests and learn about the different creatures that lived there. His father, the Chief, was always busy with the affairs of the city, but he did his best to spend time with his son and teach him about leadership.
When Zykar turned 16, he participated in an event called "The Hunt," where all 16-year-olds of the current generation go to one of the more secluded islands on the archipelago and compete in a competition to see who can hunt the strongest beast. Zykar, being the Chief's son, had a lot of pressure on him to perform well. He spent months preparing for the hunt and honing his hunting skills. A cult paid by the world government known as the fangs purposefully place a mutated beast on the island which was much stronger than the other beasts on the island, in hopes to kill the heir to the throne. In the end, using his archery skills he emerged victorious, having taken down the most formidable beast in the competition. He was awarded a tattoo on his nose bridge, signifying him as the "King of the Hunt."
After winning the hunt, Zykar felt a newfound sense of pride and accomplishment. He began to see himself as a leader and started taking more responsibility for the city's affairs. His father noticed this change in him and started grooming him to take over as Chief one day. 1 year passed.
Things took a turn for the worse when the same cult from before, the Fangs, began to encroach on their territory. The Fangs were a violent and aggressive cult, and they didn't hesitate to use force to get what they wanted. Now being backed by the world Government fully many of the members had df powers, things people of the capital excluding the chief never saw. The Chief tried to negotiate with them, but they refused to listen. Eventually, they launched an attack on Mimameidr, and a fierce battle ensued.
Zykar fought bravely alongside his father and the other defenders, but they were outnumbered and outmatched. No one but him and his father was left and they were backed into the corner of the biggest saferoom in the capital. Apparently, all they were after was one gold box which father told Zykar to protect before leaving to fend off the last few Fang members and help any survivors. In the end, the city fell, and the Fangs took control. Zykar ran back to the secluded island where the hunt took place and hid there for a year. His father was captured and held as a prisoner never to see Zykar again.
Eventually, the fangs caught up to him telling him to open the box even though he had no key nor knew of any other way to open the box. In that moment it opens as if answering his call. His mouth drools at the sight of the fruit in the box. The fangs take chase and this time he steals one of their ships and sails far away from the archipelago looking at the fruit in both hunger and sadness for it was the reason why his father was "dead" and his people were killed.
While voyaging on the sea Zykar finds out from someone at an inn that what he houses in that box is what is called a devil fruit. Seeing it as a get-free power quick he immediately eats it before hearing the downsides.
Zykar is determined to take back his home and restore it to its former glory. He sets out on a journey to gather allies and resources, with the ultimate goal of defeating the Fangs and reclaiming Mimameidr. Finding out who they really are and what they truly wanted. Hometown: From the Undying Lands, an archipelago filled with 13 small islands all of which are filled with dense forest and jungle somewhere deep in the north blue. Society outside the capital is very primal but the food is hunted for no matter the island due to tradition. All residents are of the Longear or "Elven" tribe. Being the Chief's son he was raised in the capital known as "Mimameidr".
Personality: Because of how he was raised to always have respect no matter if prey, predator, or equal, he holds the idea of honor very close to his heart. Loves fighting as it reminds him of the "hunt".
- History:
Growing up, Zykar was always fascinated by the dense jungles surrounding his home. He would often sneak out of the city walls to explore the forests and learn about the different creatures that lived there. His father, the Chief, was always busy with the affairs of the city, but he did his best to spend time with his son and teach him about leadership.
When Zykar turned 16, he participated in an event called "The Hunt," where all 16-year-olds of the current generation go to one of the more secluded islands on the archipelago and compete in a competition to see who can hunt the strongest beast. Zykar, being the Chief's son, had a lot of pressure on him to perform well. He spent months preparing for the hunt and honing his hunting skills. A cult paid by the world government known as the fangs purposefully place a mutated beast on the island which was much stronger than the other beasts on the island, in hopes to kill the heir to the throne. In the end, he emerged victorious, having taken down the most formidable beast in the competition. He was awarded a tattoo on his nose bridge, signifying him as the "King of the Hunt."
After winning the hunt, Zykar felt a newfound sense of pride and accomplishment. He began to see himself as a leader and started taking more responsibility for the city's affairs. His father noticed this change in him and started grooming him to take over as Chief one day. 1 year passed.
Things took a turn for the worse when the same cult from before, the Fangs, began to encroach on their territory. The Fangs were a violent and aggressive cult, and they didn't hesitate to use force to get what they wanted. Now being backed by the world Government fully many of the members had df powers, things people of the capital excluding the chief never saw. The Chief tried to negotiate with them, but they refused to listen. Eventually, they launched an attack on Mimameidr, and a fierce battle ensued.
Zykar fought bravely alongside his father and the other defenders, but they were outnumbered and outmatched. No one but him and his father was left and they were backed into the corner of the biggest saferoom in the capital. Apparently, all they were after was one gold box which father told Zykar to protect before leaving to fend off the last few Fang members and help any survivors. In the end, the city fell, and the Fangs took control. Zykar ran back to the secluded island where the hunt took place and hid there for a year. His father was captured and held as a prisoner never to see Zykar again.
Eventually, the fangs caught up to him telling him to open the box even though he had no key nor knew of any other way to open the box. In that moment it opens as if answering his call. His mouth drools at the sight of the fruit in the box. The fangs take chase and this time he steals one of their ships and sails far away from the archipelago looking at the fruit in both hunger and sadness for it was the reason why his father was "dead" and his people were killed.
While voyaging on the sea Zykar finds out from someone at an inn that what he houses in that box is what is called a devil fruit. Seeing it as a get-free power quick he immediately eats it before hearing the downsides.
Zykar is determined to take back his home and restore it to its former glory. He sets out on a journey to gather allies and resources, with the ultimate goal of defeating the Fangs and reclaiming Mimameidr. Finding out who they really are and what they truly wanted. It is now his eighteenth birthday is coming up so . . . let the havoc begin.
