The Log Book

This is primarily for personal use, to track and play around with ideas/concepts and keep track of relationships. Hopefully, people might take an interest in some of the bits and pieces I share here. Of course, anyone is welcome to use them.

Re: The Log Book

Court of Carrion (Ship)
Classification: Brig (4th Rate)
Owner(s): Kalko 'Shrike' Crawford
Crew: Nevermore Pirates
Faction: Pirates
Description:
The Court of Carrion features a mobile and defensive design but lacks offensive power. It's hull design consists of two layers of protection. The first is an outer layer of plated oak, and secondary layer of white oak.
The end effect is a significant reduced risk of shrapnel reaching the hull and good protection from small arms fire and low calibre cannonade. This has also meant the Court of Carrion has undergone significant amount of repairs, as plates may regularly need replacing to maintain effectiveness. The extensive use of tar in these repairs has stained the hull black adding to an already disturbing appearance.
Covering parts of the ship are gibbets, cast iron cages containing those unfortunate enough to have encountered the Nevermore pirates. Meanwhile, other sections of the ship appear in a state of disrepair, with some exposed interiors giving superstitious sailors the impression of a ghost ship.
Jolly Roger:
The court of carrions Jolly Roger consists of traditional Skull and Crossbones. The skull contains eyes with one being plucked by a bird perched atop one of the crossbones.
