When Taiga is in a combat scenario he often maintains his gentleman attitude, dropping only when the occasion calls for it and generally reveals his passion to achieve his goal of mastering every dish in existence thus pushing him to carry on no matter what.
- History:
Taiga was born on Tenrou Island in the South Blue, he never knew his father and his mother died during labor. It was fate the day Janemba stumbled across the abandoned cottage, drawn in by the sound of a crying infant. He rescued Taiga and took him back to his home, "The Monsieur" a tavern on the coast. Months past as Janemba searched for the orphans parents, but he never learned what happened to his family. So he adopted the poor boy and began to teach him to be a fine chef, waking him before the first light of the sun to begin preparations in the kitchen.
Several years passed and by the time Taiga had reached the age of 17 he had become quite popular with the seafaring travellers, even being offered to come along with many crews in search of a good chef. However, he could never bring himself to leave Janemba. Fate changed his entire life however when a hurricane tore through the small island village, the destruction leaving devastation and debris scattered as far as could be seen. Most of the island was swallowed whole by the ocean, in the end it was Janemba and Taiga amongst the wreckage that was once their home. They waited for months for the next ship to come, surviving on near rotted scraps covered in dirt, mud, and even mold. Their rescuers were the Marines of the South Blue, though the saviors weren't as great as one may have thought. Upon arrival it was revealed Janemba was a wanted man in his youth, so the Captain arrested them both locking them away in the brig and setting a course for the closest prison.
Janemba was put to death on September 13th 1821, Taiga was once again alone. Left in a prison cell to meet a fate of guilty by association. Captain Kuro of the Marines approached him with a deal, 3 years in service to his ship as a cook would buy his freedom. Taiga accepted and upon signing the agreement took up Janemba's name Dreyar. Taiga was free from physical bonds though now he was still shackled to a ship fixing the same meals over and over again, a hell to Taiga as he wished only to grow and expand his culinary art.
A year passed in this hell, Taiga's spirit was nearly broken when a small cabin boy approached with a plan. Together they would steal a lifeboat and sail away, this sparked the fire in Taiga's heart and he agreed. They waited and planned for 3 days and 3 nights for the perfect opportunity, but as they began to push the lifeboat over the edge a midnight patrolman spotted the two. The boy immediately turned from Taiga claiming he was taking him hostage and attempting to escape, though completely shocked Taiga quickly grabbed the boy and placed the kitchen knife against his jugular. If he wanted to be a hostage then by all means, Taiga would oblige. A solitary shot rang out as Taiga was pushed over the railing plummeting to the boat and water below, who shot was a question Taiga would never have answered. He just pushed the boys corpse into the sea and let the current carry him and the raft away.
Taiga now roams searching for his way in this world, to find a crew to take him across the seas so he can learn the secrets of all dishes the world has to offer.

[approve]A well-written bio overall. The inspiration from Sanji is plain to see, but not necessarily a bad thing. One thing I would've recommended, though, is giving Taiga a clear goal to strive for. But, no biggie. That's something he can discover through RP just as well.[/approve]
