Personality: While not really an outspoken man, he does like to find ways to make his 'voice' heard. Kind and gentle, he tends to care for his friends and go above and beyond for them. While he's not a chef per se, he loves to eat and read about foods. In combat, he tries to keep himself focused on the fight, one combatant at a time, finding ways to quickly dispatch them. He is well versed in botany, and would love to own his own mini garden.

Alf was born to Lily and Alfred Dolnstein, two well to do flower merchants in Conomi. Whilst the couple was in love at the start, starting the businesses soon after they married, they found out the true toll that running a shop would bring. Flowers, though a decent commodity, did not sell much. More specifically, they didn't sell enough to pay off the exuberant fees the local pirates put on them. And with Lily pregnant, they had to come up with a solution, and fast. So the Dolenstein family dedicated days and weeks of knowledge to make a unique flower, a flower that could survive all temperatures, grow in all climates. Something that could be so beautiful that they could charge top dollar for. At the age of 5, massive loans, and countless hours, Alf saw the end result of their works. It was called 'The Sun Kissed Lily'. It had the shape of a lily flowers, with swirls of faint yellow that could be seen in the sunlight. It required little work to maintain or keep. It was said that Lily and Alfred cried the hardest tears they had ever shed since their marriage, and had the best sleep in years after it's creation. The only downside was that it took a long time for the flowers to mature.
Alf was put to work by his parents, hustling the flowers from hand woven baskets, and for the longest time, sales didn't catch on. He would sell them after school. sometimes to his own classmates. It wasn't until Alf went to the local fashion store at the age of 15, that he found the biggest break. When he showed Tonya Karova, owner of the Germanium , She was floored by it's beauty. She requested to buy the whole stock when she found out the flowers were perfect for her new women's fashion line. After the money rolled in, Tonya signed an exclusivity contract with their floral business. In not but a few years, Lily and Alfred were able to pay off their loans, afford better housing, and seemed to be reaching a normal life. Tonya moved out to West Blue to expand her influence.
At the age of 19, tragedy struck. While walking back home from High School, he noticed a fire on the horizon. Running in the direction of the fire, he was shocked to find his family garden in flames. The local constable ruled it as an act of arson. In a second, the family garden went from hundreds of SKL's, to only 5. Then after that, Tonya's company came to collect the last 4. The contract stated that the family was obligated to come up with the SKL's on a quarterly basis, and if not, they must pay a fee as recompense. Further more Germanium owned the rights to the flowers. The only way to escape that contract would either be upon her untimely demise, or to be bought out by an ungoldy fee. While his parents seemed to shrug this off as coincidence, Alf believed it to be something more. A sabotage, perhaps?
In the present, the Dolenstein family has been living on depleting funds. Food has run low, and Alf, tired of their situation, set out on a mission. Either he join the pirates, and gain the cash to buy out the contract, or join the Navy, and make an honest living while instigating the arson.
