After unexpectedly running into the Blockbuster for himself, Roji and Castor have a conversation about freedom before they are interrupted by Mort and the other Revolutionaries. After going to the Throne Room Roji openly defies Mort's orders, cementing his betrayal.

All the while, A mysterious figure from Roji's past is roped into the battle and confronts Roji for his actions back in the West Blue.

Summary: Following the events of Black as Tar and several high-profile arrests,  Anton started a new program to rehabilitate pirates under his command. The higher ups insist on sending an inspector to investigate the results of his efforts. In turn, he sends word to his underlings of the change, hoping everyone will be at their best behavior. Unfortunately, the message doesn't quite reach everyone.

Meanwhile, a group of pirates known as Iron Urchins plots to free their comrades caught in the aforementioned high-profile arrests. Their plan is to infiltrate the base while disguised as Marines. Ryoichi, who is nearby training, happens to catch wind of the plot after a heated exchange with a talkative penguin. He hurries back to the base, trying to warn everyone that there are traitors among them.

To make matters worse, Yumiko is just returning to Minion with a new potential recruit. She receives word that there are pirates on the island and rushes to the rescue. ...Before hearing the rest of the message. Since snail calls travel faster than a speeding samurai, the Rear Admiral is the first to hear of this dilemma. He orders Yumiko to be arrested, before she does something completely reckless.

Less than five minutes later, the arrest fails and Yumiko does something completely reckless. Believing to be surrounded by enemies, she fights fiercely against her crewmates. During the rampage, Ryoichi catches her and resolves to take her down before anyone else gets hurt. A violent brawl ensues, ending in the bear's decisive victory.

During the distraction, the infiltrators get exposed by ultimately accomplish their goal, freeing their comrades and the fearsome captain Frau 'Iron Maiden' Eiserne. Anton steps in to re-capture the captain, before his entire program gets torn apart. His victory is swift and violent.

In the aftermath of the chaos, Iron Urchins manage to escape without their captain. Despite the setback, Anton's actions convince the inspector that he has everything Under Control. He is allowed to continue to program, as long as it strenghtens the Marines.

However, everything comes at a price. Neither Ryoichi nor Yumiko can stomach the idea of working alongside pirates. After a heated argument with their superior, they both quit the crew on the spot.

The boxer chooses to stay in the Marines, pursuing his own justice. He leaves on the next ship, heading somewhere far away to clear his head. Anton honors the decision by sending a letter of recommendation to the higher ups. After all, the bear is long overdue a promotion.

However, the samurai is too shattered to continue. She gives up on her convictions and leaves the Navy entirely. Taking to the skies, she flies off before anyone could stop her. As a last favor, Anton chose not to report everything about her involvement in the Minion Island incident to his higher ups.

The Guardian Knights is left broken, with all the strongest members going their separate ways.

Summary: After escaping Baterilla on a cruise ship, things seemed easy for Hyde Garland. That was, until the Black Dawn Pirates show up to rob the passengers. Seeing their sloppy attempts to frighten the passengers, Hyde decides to give these guys a lesson on proper intimidation, which leads to a fight with Denzel Keeves, one of the officers.

After beating him, Hyde is suddenly set upon by Howard Bartos, the captain, who then proceeds to give Hyde an offer. To join his crew. Much to everyone's surprise, he accepts, helping them raid the ship and sailing off with them.

Summary: As the new quartermaster for the Black Dawn Pirates, Hyde notices a disturbing lack of supplies in regards to the weaponry department, a concern he shares with captain Bartos. As the crew arrives on Ilisia, Hyde is brought up to speed on the corrupt marine presence on the island. This gives Hyde an idea where he posed as a painter, presenting a grand and heroic portrait to the marine base's preening captain, Captain Hornbuckle. As night falls, Hyde uses his Devil Fruit powers to bring the copy of Hornbuckle and the marines in the painting to life, tricking the marines in allowing them to walk out with most of the base's armory. Hyde successfully manages to bring the stolen goods back to the ship, though the effort causes him to fall unconscious. With their stolen goods, the Black Dawn Pirates book it, leaving the marines to bitch and moan helplessly back on the island. Now fully armed, the pirates are now making a move to go after bigger prey.

Summary: Visiting an island recently conquered by a good and close friend, Richard is welcomed by a personal greeter sent to ensure he doesn't get into trouble. Aya, as she introduces herself, promises to report good things in exchange for a meal. A fair trade, really.

After a brisk business lunch, the dynamic duo comes up with a totally legal way to make some cash. They meet later that night to provide wholesome entertainment for an exclusive party. Aya pretends to be a ghost haunting the manor and Richard the priest that exorcizes her. Oh, those silly tricksters. The audience gets really into it too. In fact, the host practically shoves money into the performer's grasp.

Unfortunately, the security detail doesn't take kindly to folks without a formal invitation. A marine Lieutenant of the local branch happens to recognize the pirate despite his disguise. Likewise, his trusty hound catches the scent of the so-called ghost. Chaos ensues.

The two entertainers make a hasty exit. A couple of windows get broken in the excitement. Someone almost dies. A fire gets started by a complete accident... A terrible mess, really.

Fortunately, it all ends well as the performers manage to evacuate safely. They even agree to split the money fairly, before parting ways. However, a loose end might be tying them back together sooner than either of them think.

As far as crimes go, reliable sources accuse the Plague Rat of fraud, vandalism, arson, resisting arrest and attempted murder. ...Oh, also dine and dashing. Mysteriously though, nobody has come forth to accuse Aya of anything. Honestly, they treat the poor girl like she's invisible...

Summary: At our story’s beginning Castor attends a war meeting where the councilors of post-war Lvneel discuss the issues affecting their provinces, noted by the Mayor of Hibiscus town, are reports of a “20 foot tall monster” approaching his town. Castor and Annabelle lead the meeting to the conclusion that they will scour the country for this monster. In this meeting Castor & Sir Bearington assert their dominance over the council, hopefully making for easier rulership for Queen Annabelle. Several machinations of the corrupt council members are foiled through Castor’s clever ploys.

A couple days before Doji commits robbery of the Cathedral where the corpse of Castor’s Mentor Jules, and her Meito blade Seiryu are being kept. His “employer”, Stein, assassinates Leonidas, causing Doji to turn on him and ransack the temple. The church then assigns blame for the theft, assassination, and desecration of the tomb to Doji.

In the midst of a storm Doji breaks into a Hibiscus Town family’s home, and shortly thereafter causes the father's death and the mass injury of the town’s guard. He leaves the town after “politely” investigating their graveyard.

Meanwhile, Castor and Annabelle exchange tea, having quelled the last of the local rebellions the Duke teaches the Queen more about leadership. As their conversation comes to a close, Castor hears word of the attack on Hibiscus Town. Hearing that the monster was sighted heading for Aube, Castor orders the province’s citizens evacuated, his men have already been positioned to intercept the oni’s assault.

After (accidentally) Heading for Aube, Doji bumps into an old man who warns him about the capital’s swamp. Doji is met by guardsmen who attempt to stop his rampage in the province, and in response he maims several of them, causes wanton property damage in the city, and then leaves after returning a teddy bear to a child. Several people, including Doji, almost drown in Cossia’s thick swamp.

Hearing of the defeat of Aube’s men Castor remarks on the advantages/realities of monstrousness, declares the intentions of his involvement with Lvneel’s court, and informs the Duchess of Jewels that any damages to her province will be her own to pay for. The Duchess calls in a group of wealthy Assassins, Les Dames Terribles, to take care of the beast before it can cause too much damage.

Doji heads to the province of Jewel next where assassins have been hired by the local royalty, he escapes their attempts against his life, but goes on a “poison” induced bender that causes a massive amount of property damage throughout the wealthy province. He also assaults the local nobility.

Doji finally meets his match against the hardened soldiers of Nilf, where he is forced onto a route to the capital. Hearing that the Oni has cleared another province, and of the boy’s involvement with the raiding of the Cathedral, Castor transforms into lightning, and makes a terrifying entrance.

The two talk a bit, as Doji is an unusually reasonable monster, and seems respectful of the swordswoman whose tomb he defiled. But the monster’s misdeeds must ultimately be punished; Castor severely electrocutes Doji leaving him with a burn on his chest. The oni is then dragged into the castle dungeons.

Castor has a meeting with the Queen of the Amber Kingdom where he states that he will not be returning the monster to be prosecuted on Flevance, but will instead take care of him on Lvneel. The Kingdom ultimately comes to the conclusion not to go to war over this slight, favoring the peacetime between the Northern islands.

A mock execution is staged wherein Doji is pronounced dead to the people of Lvneel and buried, via a clever ploy he is able to survive in the grave until his funeral is completed. When he emerges from his grave he is met with Castor, and the two talk about what it means to be a pirate.

Castor provides Doji with an opportunity to escape the island, and he takes it. On the beach a standoff between the assassins takes place, and the victor takes Doji back to his ship where he sets sail.

Meanwhile, Stein and one of the assassins gossip about the theft of Seiryu, and their affairs in Lvneel. It seems that forces beyond the boy’s reckoning have fixed their eyes on Asakura Doji.

Castor departs from Lvneel for new adventures, all unbeknownst to Queen Annabelle, who he has saddled with the task of explaining the Oni’s “execution” to the Queen of the Amber Kingdom as well as his own slights against her court. Sorry!

Castor commits no crimes over the course of this storyline as he is a member of the presiding nobility, and in-fact likely strengthens his reputation amongst the common people of Lvneel by defeating the monster that terrorized their island.

The following crimes are attributed to Asakura Doji once it is discovered that he is still alive:
- Rob or commit theft of civilian property, (graverobbing)
- Rob or commit theft of royal property, (Seiryu & the corpse of Sword St. Jules)

Summary: The Black Dawn pirates, having gained some level of success in the past month, have attracted the full attention of the marines. Marine captain Trudou, and his second in command, Elizabeth Tiller, were sent with a crew to the pirates island hideout in order to bring them down.

During the chaos of the fighting, Hyde encountered Commander Tiller and engaged in a duel with her. While initially having the upper hand, due to his Devil Fruit abilities and the environment, the battle soon turned into a one sided beatdown from the enraged Tiller. Seeing his captain falling to Trudou forced Hyde to retreat.

The surviving Black Dawn pirates were captured, but Hyde managed to slip away in a stolen lifeboat. Now, alone and out on the ocean, he seeks to lie low before plotting his next move.

Summary: A fishwoman and a lady Mink form a fast friendship that sets up a meeting on the island of Notice in the near future. Erudite finds herself facing Aya and learns a bit about her before deciding to help the girl secure passage from some unsavory fellows. Though the negotiations are tough, Erudite manages to win over these potential foes. Though she knows she will likely have to kill them later. For her part, Aya manages to successfully make not only important contact in Erudite, but secure safe passage with those troublesome men. Can't seek a world-class hider after-all.

Summary: Rion, a young pirate upstart finds himself hunted by an affiliate of the Outlook worldnoble family, Pierre dey Swinehart. Rion would find himself stealing the Devil fruit the lesser noble had at the time and used its power to surive being hunted on the island for Three days, searching for information on his lost Mink friend Nene. upon getting information on Nene's enslavement Rion would hunt down and find the swinehart household, where he would meet His lastest Companion, a young marine named Aeris, who upon seeing the horrors the lesser noble inflicted upon the mink, would turn on him and help the pair escape. they would now find themselves heading to warship island, in hopes of stealing a ship. and finding a good chef.

Summary: The Guardian Knights were given a mission unlike any other they had received before. They were to disguise themselves as pirates and infiltrate the festival known as the Davy Back Brawl, a sporting event similar to the infamous Davy Back Fight, but on a much larger scale. The crew were to go under the guise of the Red Cap Pirates, a rather...fanciful sort, with Ryoichi taking the role of the ship's captain, Oberon, Yumiko taking on the crew's swordswoman, Mustardseed, and Anton playing the mysterious Puck.

Upon arriving at the island, the crew attempted to blend in with the other contestants on the island, with varying degrees of success. They soon attended the opening ceremony in which they learned of the other crews taking part in the contest. The Centurian Pirates, the Riptide Pirates, the Misfit Pirates, the Big Top Pirates, and the Iron Urchins. The crew joined in on the celebration, with Ryoichi digging into the feat, and Yumiko getting herself absolutely drunk. Anton, on the other hand, found himself running into two familiar faces, the twin sisters Lune and Sol, who recognized him. Fortunately, they agreed to keep Anton's identity a secret. After Yumiko was given a sort of hangover cure by the Big Top Pirates, the crew turned in for the night, preparing for the games to begin.

The next day marked the beginning of the games, with each of them taking part in a different event. Yumiko, temporarily rendered mute by the hangover cure last night, was to take part in an obstacle course. After experiencing some difficulties in the beginning, she managed to pull off a surprise win, when one of the Iron Urchin pirates accidently sent her rocketing to the finish line, causing her to win the little dwarf pirate "Tiny Laugh" Lane from the Big Top Pirates.

Ryoichi took part in the eating contest, which took a rather horrid twist (the food in question was bugs!). Ryoichi only managed to win due to fighting amongst the other contestants resulted in them being disqualified. For his troubles, Ryoichi won the fishman pirate Wahid.

Anton, meanwhile, took part in the wife carry, choosing to carry both Lune and Sol through the competition. Anton almost lost the competition, giving up the lead in order to save another of the contestants after one of the Riptide Pirates attempted to cheat. However, this act of honor would save Anton in the end, as Nero of the Centurian pirates used his incredible strength to throw Anton across the finish line. Anton then claimed Nero as his prize.

However, others weren't so lucky. While the others taking part in the games lost, it was Celia who found herself on the chopping block, losing and being claimed by the Big Top Pirates. The Guardian Knights resolved to get her back.

The next day, the games continued, now with some additional muscle on their side, they resolved to continue winning the games.

Yumiko took part in the jump rope, which she had to perform blindfolded. Luckily for Yumiko, she managed to win when one of the contestants, a member of the Misfit Pirates, took out the other contestants, only failing to knock out Yumiko and falling out of the competition instead. Certainly a lucky win for the confused swordswoman from Wano.

Meanwhile, Anton took part in the payload, a team event which paired him up alongside the captain of the Centurian pirates, and a member of the Big Top Pirates. However, things took a drastic turn when one of the opponents, a member of the Iron Urchins, was suddenly overcome by a black ooze, attacking everyone in sight. Anton and Cisero team up to defeat the controlled pirate, before trying to find their partner from the Big Top Pirates, as she seemed to recognize what was happening. However, she seemed to have disappeared, they decide to sneak aboard their ship to investigate, discovering Celia in a horrible state. The pair manage to get her out of there, and back to the Red Caps' ship.

Meanwhile, Ryoichi was having issues of his own. Taking part in the boxing competition, he suddenly found himself overcome by sickness, rendering him feeble and weak. Yet, despite his horrid condition, Ryoichi managed to pull through, winning the competition before blacking out. Anton arrived just in time, bringing Ryoichi with him back to the ship. Meanwhile, Lune and Sol are attacked after seeing Barnaby, captain of the Big Top Pirates, having a secret discussion with an unknown figure.

Back on the ship, Doc Black tends to both Celia and Ryoichi, recognizing the latter's condition being caused by poison. They quickly discover that Wahid was behind the poisoning, who then proceeded to lose his game and be won back by his old crew. They then discover a note left by Lane, telling Anton to come to the central tower of the island. Anton heads there, accompanied by Nero.

Meanwhile, a drunk Yumiko runs into the captain of the Iron Urchin, Frau Eisern, who recognizes Yumiko. She gives Yumiko a chance to join her, beating her into the floor when she refuses.

Arriving at the tower, Anton and Nero discover the Big Top Pirates, locked in place by that same dark ooze. There, they confront Barnaby and after a brief battle manage to beat him. However, Anton quickly pieces together that Barnaby wasn't behind this, only for the Big Top captain to become trapped in tar, as the true mastermind shows himself. A tar logia named Loko Periott. Loko had enslaved the Big Top Pirates with his tar powers, and now intended to do the same with everyone on the island. He then shows that he captured not only Alcibiades and his associates, but also Lune and Sol. However, the twins' fire and ice capabilities allow them to break free, and Anton has Nero take the two back to the ship while he holds of Loko.

The island devolves into chaos. Pirates controlled by Loko's tar begin attacking wildly, trying to spread his control. A metaphorical zombie apocalypse. Yumiko makes it back to the ship just in time for Ryoichi to awaken from his poison induced coma, and Nero to arrive with Lune and Sol, who promptly grab Anton's weapons and run back to assist the Rear Admiral. As Yumiko and Ryoichi do battle with the encroaching horde, many of which include their own, Anton does battle with the twisted Loko, and with some assistance from Lune and Sol, manages to defeat the mad pirate in a climactic battle which reduces a lot of the island to ruin. With Loko defeated, and his control over everyone gone, Anton takes the opportunity to apprehend as many of the pirates as he could.

On their way back to link up with the Grand Steamer, Anton approaches the captured pirates with an offer. Either face jail time, or serve under him as marines. Many of the pirates accept the offer while some, namely the Iron Urchins, refuse. Now, with the mission coming to a close, Anton has to now try and convince the higher ups in the marines to allow him to do this.

He hurries back to the base, trying to warn everyone that there are traitors among them.

To make matters worse, Yumiko is just returning to Minion with a new potential recruit. She receives word that there are pirates on the island and rushes to the rescue. ...Before hearing the rest of the message. Since snail calls travel faster than a speeding samurai, the Rear Admiral is the first to hear of this dilemma. He orders Yumiko to be arrested, before she does something completely reckless.

Less than five minutes later, the arrest fails and Yumiko does something completely reckless. Believing to be surrounded by enemies, she fights fiercely against her crewmates. During the rampage, Ryoichi catches her and resolves to take her down before anyone else gets hurt. A violent brawl ensues, ending in the bear's decisive victory.

During the distraction, the infiltrators get exposed by ultimately accomplish their goal, freeing their comrades and the fearsome captain Frau 'Iron Maiden' Eiserne. Anton steps in to re-capture the captain, before his entire program gets torn apart. His victory is swift and violent.

In the aftermath of the chaos, Iron Urchins manage to escape without their captain. Despite the setback, Anton's actions convince the inspector that he has everything Under Control. He is allowed to continue to program, as long as it strenghtens the Marines.

However, everything comes at a price. Neither Ryoichi nor Yumiko can stomach the idea of working alongside pirates. After a heated argument with their superior, they both quit the crew on the spot.

The boxer chooses to stay in the Marines, pursuing his own justice. He leaves on the next ship, heading somewhere far away to clear his head. Anton honors the decision by sending a letter of recommendation to the higher ups. After all, the bear is long overdue a promotion.

However, the samurai is too shattered to continue. She gives up on her convictions and leaves the Navy entirely. Taking to the skies, she flies off before anyone could stop her. As a last favor, Anton chose not to report everything about her involvement in the Minion Island incident to his higher ups.

The Guardian Knights is left broken, with all the strongest members going their separate ways.

Summary: With the fall of St Poplar to the pirate Castor Nox, both the Marines and the World Government are on edge. St Poplar's place along the sea train line makes it a threat to other islands along the route, pushing the marines to fortify their own position along the line. To this end, they have ordered Anton La'croix and the Guardian Knights to establish a strong marine presence on the island of Pucci.

Sounds simple enough, right? After all, it's not like Pucci is a haven for pirates or anything of the sort.

Things are never so simple. That's something Anton has learned a very long time ago.

Summary: Whether it be expensive thrills or luxurious staycations, the resort atop the tree on Kyuka Island provided all kinds of 'services' for its elite clientele. The island is unique in a matter that it hosts no matter who, as long as they are ready to pay for it. Although it hosted a cesspool of criminals, Ryoichi and a few other officers of Guardian Knights were given an opportunity to take a breather in the luxurious resort, if their wallets could allow that.

In the resort's restaurant, class discrimination leads Ryoichi into an argument with the service provider. This ruckus caught the attention of the former Paradise Central Fighting Division Champ, Phelo Cortez who after being given a hint of Ryoichi's boxing pedigree decided to invite the marine for dinner with him at the same table.

The dinner started out okay despite the clear tension between the rookie boxer and former champion. Both ended up discussing and enthusing about past matchups between world-known boxers, and injuries that ended careers... Which was a mistake, any sports enthusiast could have told that. This leads both sides to throw out derogatory comments about each other.

This odd situation brought together a disguised world-known criminal and Marine Petty Officer. To avoid a fight breaking out, Castor, right now known as Bastion, stepped up and stop this. But neither side would go down swinging, and the glove of a challenge to the boxing match was thrown on the table along with a bet that the match would be over in five rounds. In two days' time, the match was to be hosted by the manager of the resort Kazuma. With Bastion now backing Ryoichi up financially and as his second at the ringside, the marine boxer was set for the challenge.

Two days passed filled with rigorous training and then the match day arrived. It was then announced that the winner will receive a golden ticket that makes him eligible to challenge any of the Paradise champion titles. This was a twist that hyped the crowd up even more as it was now more than just entertainment, but a chance to see a possible new future champion.

The match started strong for both sides, but it was eventually turned in favor of Cortez in many aspects, but Ryoichi held his own, so much so that the match lasted longer than five rounds. This made Cortez furious, resorting to juicing himself up more with the drugs in his water.

Once the seventh round commenced, Bastion was taken away from the ringside to the backstage where he was confronted by a mercenary who was paid to take down Bastion. This left Ryoichi alone in the ring, and on the seventh round, Ryoichi was knocked down and the countdown began.

Cortez was not able to celebrate for long, as Ryoichi's determination and ambition lead him to regain his strength and get back on his feet, but also in the process, sweep many others from theirs and inflict fear within Cortez who tried to sly out of the situation with sob story... But Ryoichi was not having it, and he went all the way to end the match completely in the seventh round, knocking Cortez out.

Meanwhile, Bastion, now discovered as Castor, was busy dealing with the mercenary. It seems that Castor also had an ulterior motive on the island. Money was one, but not the primary as he and his lackeys were ready to give it up. For what he came to the island, he got... The resort's clientele list.

Both parties, Castor and Ryoichi, left the island as winners, one with the clientele list, and the other with a trophy and golden ticket. Ryoichi felt tired, worried with the phrase "punch drunk" constantly coming up in his head, but also proud of himself for what he had accomplished.

Ryoichi couldn't help but also feel determined to find out who Bastion was, as he had suspicions he was not who he claimed he was. The clues were there, now it was only time to search the records. Castor also left the island as a successful, yet nauseated man who had scored the resort's clientele list, but also had a glimpse of a warrior who might cause him lots of trouble in the future.

Summary:

Castor and the newly bolstered Nox pirates are aware of their need for a new vessel, and seek out one at Water 7, renowned across the seas for their legendary shipwrights. However, Lucky does a full body examination of Castor and the news is truly untimely and grave in nature.

The Nox Pirates actions resonate across Paradise, and honestly, not in the best of ways. Flevance calls for Lvneel to answer about their possible involvement with Nox Pirates who’ve been linked to the Feral Pirates who kidnapped her husband.

Thrash arrives on the newly birth pirate haven on St.Poplar looking for a good time. Newport recognizes Thrash from his past and jumps into full survival mode.

Lady Marvel has hired several mercenaries to assassinate Red Devil on site, as well as the Nox Pirates. Stein, the opportunist uses this as a plea to take out Castor once and for all.

With Jazzy’s pressing matter about her step daughter on the horizon, the Nox Pirates are truly being trampled on every angle possible. To make matters even worse, one of the Nox Members have been kidnapped!

How will Castor O. Nox who has solved all his problems so far with violence navigate these problems that he himself has placed his crew in? Looming on the horizon, an emissary seeks to squash Newport! Can the crew transition from rookies to household names? And at what cost?

The Navy naturally catches wind of this defection and sends a small army of pursuers after the traitors. The trio only manages to flee as far as Spider Miles before getting trapped. Time is of the essence and Rias is the closest, so she is tasked with springing the defectors free and escorting them to a safe location. Along the way, they run across Yumiko who has her life in shambles. After a heated exchange, they manage to convince her to lend her aid. The samurai finds a new purpose in helping those who cannot help themselves, starting with guarding the defectors from a dishonorable and cowardly assault. To make matters worse, a mysterious, masked bounty hunter shrouded in unsettling rumors sets his sights on the group. A chaotic race across the seas ensues, in various stolen borrowed ships, with the ultimate goal of shaking off the pursuers without leading them to the hideout of the North Blue Revolutionaries.
